Blue‐Light Filtering Increases the Brightness of Natural Images in Pseudophakic Adults

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Purpose Several studies have suggested that blue‐light filtering (BLF) can enhance the perception of brightness. Evidence for this effect, however, in pseudophakic patients, particularly using natural images, is lacking. The present study tested whether a common BLF spectral profile, often used in intraocular lens (IOL) designs, would influence ...

Comparison between ANTERION and IOL MASTER 500 in Cataract Surgeries

open access: yes
This research aimed to compare the measurements recorded by a traditional PCI technology biometer (Partial Coherence Interferometry) and by a SS-OCT (Swept Source Optical Coherence Tomography) technology machine in preoperative screening of patients with age-related cataract.

Evaluating Outer Segment Length as A Surrogate Measure of Peak Foveal Cone Density [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Adaptive optics (AO) imaging tools enable direct visualization of the cone photoreceptor mosaic, which facilitates quantitative measurements such as cone density. However, in many individuals, low image quality or excessive eye movements precludes making

Effect of Corneal Incision Features on Corneal Endothelial Cell, Astigmatism, and Higher‐Order Aberrations After Implantable Collamer Lens Implantation

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Purpose This study evaluated the impact of clear corneal incision (CCI) morphology on corneal endothelial cell density (ECD), astigmatism, and higher‐order aberrations (HOAs) following implantable collamer lens (ICL) implantation. Design Prospective study. Methods Sixty‐five patients (65 eyes) undergoing ICL implantation were included.

The Use of Parabulbar and Sub‐Tenon Injections to Correct Isolated Resistant Diplopia in Patients With Generalized Myasthenia Gravis: A Long Road to Clinically Meaningful Success

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 13, Issue 12, December 2025.
Changes in ocular alignment following parabulbar betamethasone in myasthenia gravis. Paired images obtained before and after parabulbar betamethasone (0.5 mL per eye; April 22 and May 6, 2025) demonstrate improved horizontal alignment and reduction of vertical deviations in primary gaze, upgaze, right gaze, and left gaze.
