Difference in profile of peripheral defocus after orthokeratology and eximer laser correction of myopia

open access: yesРоссийский офтальмологический журнал, 2018
A variety of factors that change the topography of the cornea may also induce changes in peripheral refraction. Purpose. The paper is aimed at assessing the peripheral refraction and retinal contour of myopic eyes after FS-LASIK and orthokeratological ...

Body mass index and failed induction of labor: A cohort study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, Volume 104, Issue 12, Page 2282-2291, December 2025.
In singleton pregnant women with induced labor at term, increasing BMI was associated with proportionally increased odds of failed induction of labor. The association was most pronounced in nulliparous women. However, the overall incidence of failed induction in the cohort remained low.

The Cosmic Infrared Background Experiment (CIBER): Instrumentation and First Results [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Ultraviolet emission from the first generation of stars in the Universe ionized the intergalactic medium in a process which was completed by z similar to 6; the wavelength of these photons has been redshifted by (1 + z) into the near infrared today and

Aqueous humour concentrations of HB‐EGF, EGF and VEGF‐A and axial length in humans

open access: yesActa Ophthalmologica, Volume 103, Issue 8, Page 919-928, December 2025.
Abstract Purpose To investigate relationships between the intraocular concentrations of heparin‐binding epidermal growth factor (HB‐EGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF) and vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF‐A) in dependence on axial length in humans. Design Clinical interventional cohort study.

Creep-rupture reliability analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
A probabilistic approach to the correlation and extrapolation of creep-rupture data is presented. Time temperature parameters (TTP) are used to correlate the data, and an analytical expression for the master curve is developed.
