Improvement in protein separation by pH excursion modulated ion-exchange chromatography
The transient change in pH during the elution step in ion exchange chromatography is commonly referred to as pH excursion. Acidic pH excursion is usually observed during salt-based elution in cation exchange chromatography.

The conversion of L-histidine to glutamic acid by liver enzymes [PDF]
Edlbacher and Neber (1) showed in 1934 that the liver enzyme named histidase degrades histidine to NH3, formic acid, and an unknown product which on further treatment with strong alkali yields glutamic acid.

In the presence of a Pd0 catalyst, large π‐extended arynes trimerize in an unusual manner to forge extremely compact and strained chiral benzenoids. This new trimerization reaction involves a 1,7‐Pd isomerization, a rare and poorly understood process that is elucidated.

Chemical and electrochemical behavior of the Cr(3)/Cr(2) half cell in the NASA Redox Energy Storage System [PDF]
The Cr(III) complexes in the NASA Redox Energy Storage System were isolated and identified as Cr(H2O)6(+3) and Cr(H2O)5Cl(+2) by ion exchange chromatography and visible spectrophotometry. The cell reactions during charge-discharge cycles were followed by

Unleashing the power of Ag(I)‐acetylides with LiCl/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). The LiCl/DMSO mixture have an unexplored ability to dramatically increase the solubility of Ag(I)‐acetylides regardless of their molecular structure, which is explored to achieve high chemoselectivity in the Cu(I)‐catalyzed interrupted cycloaddition between organic azides, Ag(
