Furfuryl Alcohol‐Driven Proton Supply Enables Efficient Photocatalytic H2O2 Production Beyond Water‐Based Systems

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A ZnIn2S4–carbon dot heterojunction enables photocatalytic H2O2 production coupled with furfuryl alcohol oxidation. In this redox system, furfuryl alcohol acts as both the electron donor and oxidation substrate, producing furoic acid with 100% selectivity and 98% conversion while supporting efficient H2O2 generation with a solar‐to‐chemical conversion (

Efficient Concentration and Complete Destruction of Short‐Chain and Emerging PFAS in Contaminated Water via Integrated Interface Engineering‐Enhanced Carbon Felt Sorption and Photochemical Processes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A closed‐loop “Concentrate‐Destroy” strategy is presented for completely eliminating short‐chain and emerging PFAS, in which the new 3D PPy@P‐CF is used for efficiently concentrating PFAS and Cu2+‐mediated photodegradation is applied for the completely destroying PFAS in the sorbent regeneration eluent.

Tandem Duplication‐Driven Neofunctionalization of UDP‐Glycosyltransferases Shapes the Diversification of Triterpenoid Saponins in the Cucurbitaceae

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We present a chromosome‐level genome assembly of Siraitia grosvenorii and, through comparative genomics, uncover a conserved UGT73 tandem array driving triterpenoid saponin diversification in Cucurbitaceae. Crystalized SgUGT73AM30 further reveals the regioselectivity mechanism underlying its catalytic activity.

Water Recycling Treatment Using Ion Exchange With Modified Resin

open access: yes, 2011
The presence of Iron and Calcium in condensate water can cause damaged to equipment lead to corrosion and scaling in the pipeline. This would lead to equipment failure for [2]. Iron ion also would harm human being as well as to the environment.

Universal Oxychlorination Strategy in Halide Solid Electrolytes for All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A WO2Cl2‐driven oxychlorination strategy enables bulk oxygen incorporation into close‐packed LixMCl6 (M = Zr, Y, Er, In) halide lattices. Oxygen is selectively anchored by W6+ as lattice‐integrated [WO2Cl4]2− units, regulating the anionic framework, diversifying Li coordination, and weakening Li–Cl interactions.

Removal ofHeavy Metals From Effluents Using Ion-Exchange Resin [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
The presence ofheavy metals in the environment is major concern due to their toxicity. Contamination of heavy metals in water supplies has steadily increased over the last years as a result of expansion of industrial activities.
