Ion-Mobility-Based Quantification of Surface-Coating-Dependent Binding of Serum Albumin to Superparamagnetic Iron Oxide Nanoparticles [PDF]
Protein binding and protein-induced nanoparticle aggregation are known to occur for a variety of nanomaterials, with the extent of binding and aggregation highly dependent on nanoparticle surface properties.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Quantitative Analysis of Diubiquitin Isomers Using Ion Mobility-Mass Spectrometry [PDF]
The diversity of ubiquitin modifications calls for methods to better characterize ubiquitin chain linkage, length, and morphology. Here, we use multiple linear regression analysis coupled with ion mobility mass spectrometry (IM-MS) to quantify the ...

A study of phospholipids by ion mobility TOFMS [PDF]
Combining matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) mass spectrometry with ion mobility (IM) results in the fast sorting of biomolecules in complex mixtures along trend lines. In this two-dimensional (2D) analysis of biological families, lipids, peptides, and nucleotides are separated from each other by differences in their ion mobility drift

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

Mobilising Ion Mobility Mass Spectrometry in a Synthetic Biology Analytics Workflow [PDF]
Chromatography based mass spectrometry approaches (xC-MS) are commonly used in untargeted metabolomics, providing retention time, m/z values and metabolite specific-fragments all of which are used to identify and validate an unknown analyte. Ion mobility-
