Chimera Spectrum Diagnostics for Peptides Using Two-Dimensional Partial Covariance Mass Spectrometry
The rate of successful identification of peptide sequences by tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) is adversely affected by the common occurrence of co-isolation and co-fragmentation of two or more isobaric or isomeric parent ions. This results in so-called `

XUV Absorption Spectra of Carbon Ions
AbstractThe photoabsorption spectra of the carbon ions have been obtained by using two laser-produced plasmas. The photoionization cross-section of the CV has been absolutely measured and the value at threshold, σ=(4.7±0.5) × 10−19cm2, as well as its behaviour at higher energies agrees quite well with the theoretical calculations.

Current state-of-the-art for the measurement of non-Maxwellian plasma parameters with the EISCAT UHF Facility [PDF]
New results on the information that can be extracted from simulated non-Maxwellian incoherent radar spectra are presented. The cases of a pure ionosphere and of a composite ionosphere typical of a given altitude of the auroral F region are considered.

Influence of fs-laser desorption on target normal sheath accelerated ions
We report on the effects of fs-laser desorption on the ion acceleration induced by the target normal sheath acceleration (TNSA) mechanism. The experiment was performed at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL) using the 100 TW Callisto laser ...

EUV Beam-Foil Spectra of Titanium, Iron, Nickel, and Copper
Beam–foil spectroscopy offers the efficient excitation of the spectra of a single element as well as time-resolved observation. Extreme-ultraviolet (EUV) beam–foil survey and detail spectra of Ti, Fe, Ni, and Cu are presented, as well as survey spectra ...
