Bimetallic (NiFe) and Trimetallic (NiFeCr) Nanoalloys from Metal Oxides Using a Microwave Hydrogen Plasma

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bimetallic (NiFe) and trimetallic (NiFeCr) nanoalloys (NAs) are synthesized using corresponding oxide mixtures using microwave hydrogen plasma within a few milliseconds. The process simultaneously 1) reduces metal oxides to metals; 2) downsizes the particles from micrometers to nanometers; and 3) blends the metals to form NAs.

Experimental study of hot ion modes on the HL-2A tokamak

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Hot ion mode with a high ratio of ion temperature ( T _i ) and electron temperature ( T _e ) has been achieved on the HL-2A tokamak. $T_i/T_e$ is higher than 3, and T _i reaches 3.5 keV in the deuterium plasma with neutral beam injection power no more ...

Exploring Dipolar Dynamics and Ionic Transport in Metal‐Organic Frameworks: Experimental and Theoretical Insights

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the interplay of dipolar dynamics and ionic charge transport in MOF compounds is investigated. Synthesizing the novel structure CFA‐25 with integrated freely rotating dipolar groups, local and macroscopic effects, including interactions with Cs cations are explored.

Revealing Transport, Dissolution, and Precipitation Behaviors in Electrokinetic‐Geochemical Reaction System at Pore‐to‐Core Scales

open access: yesWater Resources Research
Net‐zero carbon targets drive the development of new underground activities such as hydrogen storage and in situ critical mineral recovery, all of which involve geochemical reactions between minerals and fluid/ion transport. Understanding these processes

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...
