Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Effect of Lipase Ionic Liquid Coating and Imprinting on Transesterification and Thermostability [PDF]
This study investigates the effects of the treatments (substrate analogue imprinting and ionic liquid coating) on the catalytic activity and thermostability of lipase from Burkholderia cepacia in the transesterification of vinyl acetate with benzyl ...

Cooperativity in ionic liquids [PDF]
Cooperativity in ionic liquids is investigated by means of static quantum chemical calculations. Larger clusters of the dimethylimidazolium cation paired with a chloride anion are calculated within density functional theory combined with gradient corrected functionals.

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Ionic-Liquid-Based Bioisoprene Recovery Process Design
Bioisoprene, which can be produced from renewable feedstocks through fermentation, is a promising alternative to petroleum-derived isoprene. However, challenges including the selection of feasible recovery techniques for bioisoprene should be addressed ...

Loss of IGF‐1R impairs DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin leading to defective end‐joining
IGF‐1R promotes radioresistance by facilitating DNA‐PKcs recruitment to chromatin, enabling non‐homologous end‐joining (NHEJ) repair of double‐strand breaks. Inhibition or loss of IGF‐1R disrupts this recruitment to damage sites, driving compensatory reliance on microhomology‐mediated end‐joining (MMEJ) repair.

Electrochemical Behavior of Nitrobenzene in Binary Ionic Liquids OMImBF4/BMImPF6
The binary ionic liquids([OMIm][BF4]/[BMIm][PF6]) were studied and applied to reduction of nitrobenzene for the first time. ATR-IR spectroscopy was used to demonstrate the variation of chemical environment of binary ionic liquids, and found that the ...

Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

Soft ionic liquid multi-point touch sensor [PDF]
The development of electronic skin (e-skin) and soft tactile sensing has recently attracted great interest. Here we report for the first time on a novel ionic liquid (IL) based soft pressure sensor with multi-point touch detection capability using 1 ...
