An Ionization Instability and the Base of the Corona
A chromosphere of partially ionized atoms in a turbulent, magnetic, solar-type star may be subject to a thermal instability due to ionization, which we propose in this paper. The instability occurs when changing magnetic fields cause ion heating so that a proton-electron pair are heated preferentially with respect to neutral atoms.

Long-term Quasiperiodicity in LMXB 4U 1636–536
We present the results of the low-mass X-ray binary 4U 1636–536 study. We performed a temporal analysis of all available RXTE/All-Sky Monitor, RXTE/Proportional Counter Array, Swift/Burst Alert Telescope, and MAXI data collected until the middle of 2022.

From Single Atoms to Nanoparticles: Pathways Toward Efficient and Durable Pt/TiO2 Photocatalysts
Platinum single atoms on TiO2 nanosheets evolve into clusters and nanoparticles under ethanol photoreforming and thermal treatments. By controlling deposition and post‐treatments, particle size and location on specific facets are modulated. The study reveals how stability pathways determine efficiency, guiding the design of more durable photocatalysts.

Dynamics of Protoplanetary Disks
Protoplanetary disks are quasi-steady structures whose evolution and dispersal determine the environment for planet formation. I review the theory of protoplanetary disk evolution and its connection to observations.

Rayleigh–Taylor instability in partially ionized prominence plasma [PDF]
AbstractWe study Rayleigh–Taylor instability (RTI) at the coronal–prominence boundary by means of 2.5D numerical simulations in a single-fluid MHD approach including a generalized Ohm's law. The initial configuration includes a homogeneous magnetic field forming an angle with the direction in which the plasma is perturbed. For each field inclination we
