Iron Losses of Silicon Steel due to Rotating Fluxes (Inclined Rotating Flux and Distorted One) [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Characteristics of iron losses in silicon steel due to inclined rotating fluxes and distorted ones are described. Iron losses due to rotating fluxes have been measured at various conditions for grain-oriented and non-oriented silicon steels by using an ...

Osteoporotic bone loss from excess iron accumulation is driven by NOX4-triggered ferroptosis in osteoblasts.

open access: yesFree Radical Biology & Medicine, 2023
Excess iron accumulation is a risk factor for osteopenia and osteoporosis, and ferroptosis is becoming well understood as iron-dependent form of cell death resulting from lipid peroxide accumulation.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Dynamic iron loss model analysis method under high proportion new energy access

open access: yesDiance yu yibiao
The fixed loss model or empirical formula model of transformer has been widely used in the line loss analysis of power system. With the large-scale access of high proportion of new energy generation, the power flow in the power system has changed from ...

Temperature-Dependent Ferromagnetic Loss Approximation of an Induction Machine Stator Core Material Based on Laboratory Test Measurements

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
The accurate measurement and modeling of ferromagnetic material losses are vital issues during the design and analysis of electrical machines. Higher loss values can describe the manufactured rotor and stator machine plates better than the catalog data ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Sensorless Control of High-Speed Motors Subject to Iron Loss

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
It is widely recognized that the iron loss produced by motors at high speeds will directly affect the angle and size of the back electromotive force, and, therefore, it cannot be ignored.

Stochastic post-processing calculation of iron losses – application to a PMSM [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
To take account of the uncertainties introduced on the magnetic properties during the manufacturing process, the present work aims to focus on the stochastic modelling of iron losses in electrical machine stators.

PARP inhibition and pharmacological ascorbate demonstrate synergy in castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pharmacologic ascorbate (vitamin C) increases ROS, disrupts cellular metabolism, and induces DNA damage in CRPC cells. These effects sensitize tumors to PARP inhibition, producing synergistic growth suppression with olaparib in vitro and significantly delayed tumor progression in vivo. Pyruvate rescue confirms ROS‐dependent activity.
