HIGH TEMPERATURE OXIDATION OF TI-6AL-4V ALLOY FABRICATED BY ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING. INFLUENCE ON MECHANICAL PROPERTIES [PDF]
Titanium alloys, such as Ti-6Al-4V alloy, fabricated by additive manufacturing processes is a winning combination in the aeronautic field. Indeed, the high specific mechanical properties of titanium alloys with the optimized design of parts allowed by ...

Comparison between pystan and numpyro in Bayesian item response theory: evaluation of agreement of estimated latent parameters and sampling performance [PDF]
Purpose The purpose of this study is to compare two libraries dedicated to the Markov chain Monte Carlo method: pystan and numpyro. In the comparison, we mainly focused on the agreement of estimated latent parameters and the performance of sampling using

DFT-based low-complexity optimal cell ID estimation in NB-IoT
This paper deals with cell identifier (ID) estimation for narrowband-Internet of things (NB-IoT) system. It is suggested to transform the usual maximum likelihood (ML) estimator expression in order to highlight a discrete Fourier transform (DFT), which ...

Fitting Test for Logistic Function in Defining the Ability Level and Ranking in Exams [PDF]
In this paper with using the three- parameter logistic function in response to 4 choice items, the range of ability of each participant for each item or each exam is measured by Item response theory (IRT) and is marked and ranked by each participant’s ...

A fixed effect item response theory (IRT) model is developed for modeling group specific item parameters. Two applications are presented. The first application is that the proposed model can be used to detect whether a response mechanism is ignorable using the splitter item technique.

Interchangeability between factor analysis, logistic IRT, and normal ogive IRT
In existing studies, it has been argued that factor analysis (FA) is equivalent to item response theory (IRT) and that IRT models that use different functions (i.e., logistic and normal ogive) are also interchangeable. However, these arguments have weak links. The proof of equivalence between FA and normal ogive IRT assumes a normal distribution.
