The Technique and Results of One‐stage Island Patch Urethroplasty
British Journal of Urology, 1975Summary 27 one‐stage island patch urethroplasties have been performed with the longest follow‐up of 3 years. The method seems to have most of the advantages of standard 2‐stage scrotal flap urethroplasty, and is suited to all but the most difficult and complicated strictures at any site in the urethra.

Spectral Kurtosis-Based Island Detection Technique
2021The increasing rate of energy demand in the recent times is unprecedented and it is driving the increasing demand of renewable distributed generations in distribution system on a large scale. This significantly brings uncertainty to grid operation. Inadvertent islanding of microgrid is a major issue in today’s smart distribution grid.

Review of anti-islanding techniques in distributed generators
Renewable and Sustainable Energy Reviews, 2010[EN] In this paper a revision about different techniques for islanding detection in distributed generators is presented. On one hand, remote techniques, not integrated in the distributed generators, are discussed. On the other hand, local techniques, integrated in the distributed generator, are described.

Neuro-wavelet based islanding detection technique
2010 IEEE Electrical Power & Energy Conference, 2010Connecting distributed generators to the normal radial distribution system improve the power quality and increase the capacity of the electric grid. However, they disturb the radial nature of the network and thus give rise to many problems. Unintentional islanding is one of the encountered problems.

Active Islanding Detection Technique for Distributed Generation
INAE Letters, 2018Islanding detection plays a very important role in the design of a protection system for distributed generation (DG). The conventional methods face problems during the perfectly matched balanced load condition of DG as there is no significant change in voltage and frequency. In this paper, an active islanding detection method is proposed which perturbs

Correcting prominent ears with the island technique.
Transactions. Section on Otolaryngology. American Academy of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, 1977A surgical procedure is described which corrects the ansiform ear by repositioning and reconstructing the anthelix and the anterior crus with the formation of the triangular fossa. This corrects the scaphoconchal angle and improves the cephaloauricular angle, overcoming the problem of prominent ears.
