IMMUNOGLOBULIN ISOANTIGENS (ALLOTYPES) IN THE MOUSE

Journal of Experimental Medicine, 1966
Summary Rabbits were immunized with either normal mouse immunoglobulins or isolated mouse myeloma proteins from BALB/c or (BALB/c × NZB)F1 plasma cell tumors. The antisera were tested for antibodies directed to allotypic antigenic specificities by the method of inhibition of precipitation of I125 labeled antigens.

Isoantigens Available to Circulating Antibodies

The Journal of Immunology, 1969
Summary Further studies on the availability of mouse DBA/2 isoantigens to circulating antibodies were made. Isoantibodies isolated from multiparous C57BL females (by DBA/2 males) exhibited in vivo localization in tissues of DBA/2 mice.

Availability of Isoantigens to Circulating Antibodies

The Journal of Immunology, 1968
Summary Iodinated and purified C57BL/6 anti-DBA/2 isoantibodies have been shown to exhibit in vivo localization in organs of DBA/2 mice when injected. Lung, spleen and liver fixed large proportions of the injected antibodies while kidney, thymus, lymph nodes, and heart did not fix large amounts of isoantibodies.

Isoantigens ABH in Cervical Intraepithelial Neoplasia

American Journal of Clinical Pathology, 1976
The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between the histologic findings and the presence or absence of ABH isoantigens in intraepithelial neoplasia of the cervix. After the lesions were graded by four pathologists, the Red Cell Adherence (RCA) test was done to demonstrate the ABH antigens, and the results of the two were compared.

History of Foreign Embryonic IsoAntigens

American Journal of Reproductive Immunology, 2013
After defining the term ‘foreign embryonic isoantigens’, the author describes the experimental sequence which has allowed this new fetoprotein class to be identified. Experiments have followed three different directions, namely (i) passive immunization, by which conceptus antibodies raised in another animal species are transferred to the female animal,

Isoantigen expression in hybrid mouse cells

Experimental Cell Research, 1970
Abstract Cells of the Ehrlich ascites tumour were fused with A9, A9RI and B82 cells, all three of which were derived from L cells and bore the H-2k histocompatibility antigen complex and the specific surface antigens associated with the presence of the ‘L cell virion’.

Immunologic Studies of Pancreas-Specific Isoantigens

The Journal of Immunology, 1964
Summary Rhesus monkeys immunized with pooled Rhesus monkey pancreas extract and Freund's complete adjuvant developed pancreas-specific isoantibodies, and the electrophoretic mobility of the isoantigens is similar to that described in rabbits. Passive transfer of antiserum or immune lymph node and spleen cells to recipients
