Spontaneous Long‐Range Order and Alignment in Phase‐Separated Dynamic Covalent Networks Using Discrete Siloxanes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Spontaneously aligned, long‐range hexagonal columnar ordering is obtained in phase‐separated dynamic covalent networks by combining discrete siloxanes and dynamic acylsemicarbazide bonds. The ordered network shows improved (thermo)mechanical properties and creep resistance compared to the disordered network.

Biological Monitoring for Isocyanates [PDF]

open access: yesThe Annals of Occupational Hygiene, 2007
Isocyanates are reactive chemicals and thousands of workers may be exposed to them during their manufacture and use in a wide range of products. They are classed as sensitizers and are a major cause of occupational asthma in the UK. Workplace exposure limits are low and control of exposure often depends on personal respiratory protection.

Nickel-Catalyzed Cycloaddition of Alkynes and Isocyanates [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
A mild and general route for preparing 2-pyridones from isocyanates and diynes is described. Ni imidazolyidene complexes were used to mediate cyclizations between both internal and terminal diynes with aryl and alkyl isocyanates.

A Chemical Framework for Engineering Extracellular Vesicles’ Biointerface to Advance Precision Therapeutics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Extracellular vesicles (EVs) are cell‐derived nanoparticles that mediate intercellular communication through their dynamic biointerfaces. Owing to their intrinsic biological functions, EVs have emerged as promising platforms for biomedical applications.
