Structural and regulatory differences in amylase isoenzymes in germinating Brazilian barley cultivars

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2003
The amylase electrophoretic patterns of 10 Brazilian brewing-barley varieties with different malting grades and diastatic power were analyzed during the 7-day germination which occurs during the malting process.

Determination of LDH Isoenzymes

open access: yesClinical Chemistry, 1966
Abstract A method has been developed for the quantitation of LDH isoenzymes on cellulose acetate paper, taking advantage of the direct fluorometric procedures based on reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NADH). The procedure is simple and the reagents relatively stable, allowing the test to become a routine procedure in clinical ...

Applicability of the protein-lipid profile and activity of lactate dehydrogenase isoenzymes for diagnosing nutritional muscular dystrophy in calves

open access: yesJournal of Veterinary Research, 2018
Introduction: In calves, hyposelenosis degenerates skeletal muscles in different parts of the body. The extent of damage to muscle cells can be diagnosed by determining the activity of creatine kinase (CK), aspartate aminotransferase (AST), and lactate ...

A morphological, isoenzymatic and behavioural study of ten populations of Anopheles(Nyssorhynchus) albitarsis Lynch-Arribalzaga, 1878 (Diptera: culicidae) including from the type-locality - Baradero, Argentina

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 1990
Anopheles (Nyssorhynchus) albitarsis Lynch-Arribalzaga, 1878 shows morphological and behavioural variations which results in it being sometimes considered as a major malaria vector and at other times as playing no important role in epidemiology. With the

Population dynamics of Triatoma vitticeps (Stål, 1859) in Itanhomi, Minas Gerais, Brazil

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 2008
Taxonomic markers (head structure morphometry, isoenzymes and randon amplified polymorphism of DNA - RAPD) were used to understand the population dynamics of Triatoma vitticeps, predominant triatomine species in Itanhomi district, using samples obtained ...
