Variability of Pinus mugo Turra clones from Ostry Wierch peat bog

open access: yesActa Societatis Botanicorum Poloniae, 2014
Present study aimed at determining genetic structure of the Pinus mugo Turra population, growing at a peat bog, on Ostry Wierch slopes in the High Tatra mountains, in respect to the number of genotypes present in the population, and at defining ...

LncRNA MIR503HG serves as a diagnostic biomarker in patients with sepsis and regulates sepsis‐induced inflammation and cardiac dysfunction

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 2, June 2026.
MIR503HG was downregulated in sepsis and sepsis‐induced cardiac dysfunction (SICD) and served as a diagnostic biomarker. Overexpression of MIR503HG attenuated myocardial injury and systemic inflammation in a septic rat model. Mechanistically, MIR503HG acted as a ceRNA by sponging miR‐497‐5p to upregulate BDNF, revealing a protective MIR503HG/miR‐497‐5p/

Effect of maleic hydrazide on peroxidase isoenzymes in relation to rooting hypocotyl cuttings of Phaseolus mungo

open access: yes, 1980
A time course study of changes in the pattern of peroxidase isoenzymes shows that two new isoenzymes a and b appeared in hypocotyl cuttings cultured either in indolyl-3 acetic acid (IAA) + sucrose or in water but not in maleic hydrazide (MH).

-AAA protease isoenzymes and OMA1 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Mitochondrial fusion depends on the dynamin-like guanosine triphosphatase OPA1, whose activity is controlled by proteolytic cleavage. Dysfunction of mitochondria induces OPA1 processing and results in mitochondrial fragmentation, allowing the selective ...

Structural and regulatory differences in amylase isoenzymes in germinating Brazilian barley cultivars

open access: yesGenetics and Molecular Biology, 2003
The amylase electrophoretic patterns of 10 Brazilian brewing-barley varieties with different malting grades and diastatic power were analyzed during the 7-day germination which occurs during the malting process.

Crithidia ricardoi sp. n. a new species of trypanosomatidae isolated from Culex saltanensis Dyar, 1928 (Diptera: Culicidae)

open access: yesMemorias do Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, 1993
A flagellte trypanosomatid was isolated in culture from the digestive tract of the mosquito Culex saltanensis Dyar, 1928. It grows exuberantly in liver infusion in the form of epimastigotes and choanomastigotes typical of the genus Crithidia.

ATOX1 alleviates radiation‐induced cardiac injury by modulating AMPK/NRF2 to inhibit myocardial oxidative stress and mitochondrial dysfunction

open access: yesJournal of Cell Communication and Signaling, Volume 20, Issue 2, June 2026.
This study found that ATOX1 can alleviate radiation‐induced oxidative stress and mitochondrial damage, maintain mitochondrial function, and reduce oxidative stress by activating the AMPK/NRF2 signaling pathway, ultimately exerting a cardioprotective effect.

Ocular Adverse Events Associated With Antidepressants: A Large‐Scale Data Analysis From the FAERS Database

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 6, June 2026.
This decadal FAERS study (2015–2024) identifies 62,020 ocular adverse events (AEs) across 39 antidepressants, highlighting ocular neuromuscular disorders as a key risk. NDDIs show the strongest associations, while SSRIs exhibit the broadest signal spectrum.

Protein kinase C isoenzymes in rat and human cardiovascular tissues

open access: yes, 1997
1. We have compared the expression of protein kinase C (PKC) activity and immuno-detectable isoenzymes in cytosolic and membrane extracts of rat and human cardiovascular tissues (heart, kidney, aorta, saphenous vein).
