Numerical investigation of methanol crossover through the membrane in a direct methanol fuel cell [PDF]

open access: yesHydrogen, Fuel Cell & Energy Storage, 2018
A two-dimensional, single-phase, isothermal model has been developed for a direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC). The model considers the anode and cathode electrochemical equations, continuity, momentum and species transport in the entire fuel cell.

Effects of rotation on MHD flow past an accelerated isothermal vertical plate with heat and mass diffusion [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics, 2010
An exact analysis of rotation effects on unsteady flow of an incompressible and electrically conducting fluid past a uniformly accelerated infinite isothermal vertical plate, under the action of transversely applied magnetic field has been presented ...

Rapid and direct detection of hepatitis E virus in raw pork livers by recombinase polymerase amplification assays

open access: yesFrontiers in Cellular and Infection Microbiology, 2022
Hepatitis E virus (HEV) is a zoonotic pathogen that causes global hepatitis E. Outbreaks of hepatitis E are directly linked to the consumption of pork liver products.

Study of flow past an exponentially accelerated isothermal vertical plate in the presence of chemical reaction [PDF]

open access: yesTheoretical and Applied Mechanics, 2010
Theoretical study of unsteady flow past an exponentially accelerated infinite isothermal vertical plate with variable mass diffusion has been presented in the presence of homogeneous chemical reaction of first order. The plate temperature is raised to

An isothermal, non-enzymatic, and dual-amplified fluorescent sensor for highly sensitive DNA detection

open access: yesReviews in Analytical Chemistry, 2021
Sensitive DNA assays are of importance in life science and biomedical engineering, but they are heavily dependent on thermal cycling programs or enzyme-assisted schemes, which require the utilization of bulky devices and costly reagents.

Discrete isothermic surfaces. [PDF]

open access: yesJournal für die reine und angewandte Mathematik (Crelles Journal), 1996
Discrete isothermic surfaces are defined as the maps \(F: \mathbb{Z}^2\to \mathbb{R}^3\) such that all elementary quadrilaterals of the surface have cross ratio \(-1\). It is shown that these discrete surfaces possess properties which are characteristic for smooth isothermic surfaces (Möbius invariance, dual surface).
