In Vitro Live Cell Imaging Reveals Nuclear Dynamics and Role of the Cytoskeleton During Asymmetric Division of Pollen Mitosis I in Nicotiana Benthamiana

open access: yesCytoskeleton, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pollen is a male gametophyte of angiosperms. Following meiosis, the microspore undergoes an asymmetric division called pollen mitosis I (PMI), which produces two cells of different sizes: a large vegetative cell and a small generative cell. Polarized nuclear migration and positioning during PMI are important for successful pollen development ...

Synthesis and 64Cu‐Radiolabeling Strategies of Small Organic Radioconjugates Based on the AMD070 Scaffold

open access: yesChemMedChem, EarlyView.
Two novel 64Cu‐radioconjugates have been prepared, based on the AMD070 scaffold as a targeting unit and cyclam‐based te1pa chelator, for future applications in positron emission tomography imaging. Synthesis of ligands and their 64Cu‐radiolabeling are described herein.

NSAIDS AS MODULATORS OF CATION CHANNELS: FENAMATES REPURPOSING IN CHANNELOPATHIES

open access: yesChemMedChem, Accepted Article.
Cationic ion channels are transmembrane proteins that regulate the flux of cations (potassium, sodium, and calcium) across cell membrane, playing a pivotal role in many cellular functions. Disruptions of their activity can lead to the so‐called genetic or acquired channelopathies, a heterogeneous group of diseases that affect multiple human systems ...

The Role of Five‐Membered Aromatic Rings Containing N and O in Modulating Bile Acid Receptors: An Overview

open access: yesChemMedChem, Accepted Article.
Over the past decades extensive scientific research in the fields of chemistry and pharmaceutical chemistry has led to the synthesis and study of numerous chemical compounds with diverse therapeutic applications. Many of these compounds feature heterocyclic aromatic structures, including six‐, five‐, and four‐membered rings.

Further Investigation Into an Environmental Source for Aminorex

open access: yesDrug Testing and Analysis, EarlyView.
The results provide evidence that resedine is an intermediary compound between barbarin and aminorex in horses and that resedine can be used as a biomarker to eliminate the reporting of aminorex positives originating from the ingestion of plants from the Brassicaceae family.
