Isotonicity of Fructose, Galactose and Mannose Solutions
Abstract A haemolytic method has been used for the determination of the isotonic concentrations of dextrose, fructose, galactose and mannose. Fructose, galactose and mannose produce haemolytic effects deviating from those of dextrose.

Osmotic Remodeling of Extracellular Vesicles for Precision Nanomedicine
Hypotonic lysis in bidistilled water is used to remodel B lymphocyte–derived extracellular vesicles into cargo‐depleted, structurally preserved nanovesicles. The process reduces intraluminal proteins and nucleic acids, reshapes membrane composition, and enhances tumor‐cell uptake in vitro, while allowing proof‐of‐concept reloading with exogenous agents,

Electrostatic topology is shown to program phase separation and internal organization in thermoresponsive intrinsically disordered protein polymer (IDPP) condensates. By comparing oppositely charged IDPPs with a covalent diblock, chain connectivity is revealed to control charge compensation, dense‐phase micropolarity, miscibility, and apparent acid ...

Shear‐Responsive Red Blood Cell Carriers for Targeted Drug Delivery to Constricted Arteries
Red blood cells are harnessed as mechanoresponsive carriers that exploit the elevated shear stress of stenotic arteries to transiently open membrane pores and release encapsulated therapeutics selectively at sites of arterial narrowing. By coupling vascular hemodynamics with RBC membrane mechanics, a hemodynamically activated platform for localized ...

Humidity Ramp Protocols Systematically Underestimate Human Heat Tolerance Limits
Short dwell times in humidity‐ramp protocols (Δt/τ≪1 ${\Delta }t/\tau \mathit{\ll }1$) prevent human core temperature from reaching equilibrium, causing premature inflection points and systematic underestimation of critical environmental limits by ∼3°C–4°C.

Optimal solutions to the isotonic regression problem
In general, the solution to a regression problem is the minimizer of a given loss criterion, and depends on the specified loss function. The nonparametric isotonic regression problem is special, in that optimal solutions can be found by solely specifying a functional.

Abstract Background Despite common concerns, evidence that anaesthesia impairs vaccine efficacy remains limited. This study assessed the impact of general anaesthesia on the immune response to rabies vaccination in cats. Methods Thirty‐five healthy female cats (6–12 months old) undergoing elective spaying were enrolled.

ABSTRACT Background To report the 1‐year clinical outcomes of decellularised human corneal stromal lamina implantation, with or without autologous adipose‐derived adult stem cells (ADASCs), for advanced keratoconus in a European cohort. Methods In this prospective, randomised Phase I/IIa trial, 10 eyes of 10 patients were allocated to decellularised ...

Periodic solutions of isotone hybrid systems
Suggested by conversations in 1991 (Mark Krasnosel'skii and Aleksei Pokrovskii with TIS), this paper generalizes earlier work (Krasnosel'skii-Pokrovskii 1974) of theirs by defining a setting of hybrid systems with isotone switching rules for a partially ordered set of modes and then obtaining a periodicity result in that context.
