Geochemical properties of helium and its origin in the Indus Basin, Pakistan

open access: yesJournal of Natural Gas Geoscience
The Indus Basin, one of Pakistan's most significant hydrocarbon provinces, is an underexplored region for helium resources. This study investigates the geochemical characteristics of helium in natural gas samples from the Middle and Lower Indus Basins ...

Bulk and Surface Reactivity of LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 in Contact with (Acidic) Water

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
The comprehensive investigation of the influence of (acidic) water on LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 as cobalt‐free lithium‐ion battery cathode material reveals that such treatment particularly affects a very thin layer at the particle surface, while the bulk material remains unaffected.

Observation of Near‐Infrared Photothermal and Photoacoustic Effects in a Metallosupramolecular Trefoil Knot

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A metallosupramolecular trifold knot has been prepared from three bisimidazole ligands and three dinuclear half‐sandwich metal complexes. The topology of the trifold knot enforces strong π⋅⋅⋅π interactions between the building blocks, which results in near‐infrared (NIR) light absorption.

A Hybrid Photocatalyst Panel Consisting of a Molecular Ru(II) Complex, Polymeric Carbon Nitride, and Titania for Visible‐Light CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
A hybrid photocatalyst panel consisting of a Ru(II) complex, polymeric carbon nitride, and titania is fabricated on a glass substrate. Under visible light and in the presence of triethanolamine as an electron donor, it catalyzes CO2‐to‐HCOOH conversion in a nonaqueous environment, achieving an apparent quantum yield of 2.0% at 400 nm and 85 ...

Dopant Deuteration Enables Long‐lived Room‐temperature Phosphorescence

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
This study explores the impact of deuteration on organic host–guest doped systems, achieving prolonged room‐temperature phosphorescence lifetimes and enhanced quantum yields. By suppressing non‐radiative decay and enhancing intersystem crossing, deuterated emitters enable tunable ultralong afterglow, offering insights into isotope effects and potential
