Intersections of Projections and Slicing Theorems for the Isotropic Grassmannian and the Heisenberg group

open access: yesAnalysis and Geometry in Metric Spaces, 2020
This paper studies the Hausdorff dimension of the intersection of isotropic projections of subsets of ℝ2n, as well as dimension of intersections of sets with isotropic planes. It is shown that if A and B are Borel subsets of ℝ2n of dimension greater than

Molecular Dynamics Studies of Shape Memory Polymers: From Bead–Spring Models to Atomistic Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Coarse‐grained (left) and atomistic (right) models of the shape memory polymer ESTANE ETE 75DT3 are shown schematically. The two representations bridge molecular detail and mesoscopic description. Both models capture shape memory behavior, linking segmental mobility and conformational relaxation of anisotropic chains to macroscopic recovery, and ...

On Gergonne point of the triangle in isotropic plane

open access: yesRad Hrvatske akademije znanosti i umjetnosti. Matematičke znanosti, 2013
Using the standard position of the allowable triangle in the isotropic plane relationships between this triangle and its contact and tangential triangle are studied. Thereby different properties of the symmedian center, the Gergonne point, the Lemoine line and the de Longchamps line of these triangles are obtained.

Experimental Characterization and Constitutive Modeling of the Effect of Prior Inelastic Strain on the Viscoplastic Behavior of AD730 at 700 °C

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that superalloys used in aircraft engine disks become much more prone to deformation at high temperatures if they have been strained during manufacturing. This effect increases with the level of prior strain but eventually reaches a limit.

Precipitation Simulations of the O‐Phase in Ti2AlNb Alloys Processed by Laser Powder Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Simulated and experimental evolution of the O‐phase volume fraction during postprocessing of a Ti‐21Al‐25Nb (at.%) alloy processed by laser powder bed fusion. With results of sensitivity to input parameters from a thorough and quantified analysis, the interfacial energy matrix/precipitate is the most relevant input parameter for the simulation of the O‐

Linear array of loop antennas with serial excitation and quasi-isotropic radiation pattern in the electric plane

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2019
The results of numerical modeling of linear array of loop antennas with perimeter length equal to two wavelengths on a central frequency are given. Frames are bent in the electric plane to produce electrical quasi-isotropic directivity pattern in this ...

A numerical method for the solution of plane crack problems in finite media

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1980
A general method for the solution of plane isotropic elasticity crack problems inside a finite medium of arbitrary shape or an infinite medium with holes of arbitrary shape is presented.

Scattering Mechanism Extraction by a Modified Cloude-Pottier Decomposition for Dual Polarization SAR

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2015
Dual polarization is a typical operational mode of polarimetric synthetic aperture radar (SAR). However, few studies have considered the scattering mechanism extraction of dual-polarization SARs.

Leptiri u izotropnoj ravnini

open access: yesKoG, 2005
A real affine plane A2 is called an isotropic plane I2, if in A2 a metric is induced by an absolute {f, F}, consisting of the line at infinity f of A2 and a point F ∈ f. In this paper the well-known Butterfly theorem has been adapted for the isotropic plane.

Modeling Dislocation Cutting of γ′ Precipitates in Ni‐Base Superalloys: Linking Atomistic and Dislocation Dynamics Simulations

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Dislocation cutting of γ′ precipitates in Ni‐based superalloys is investigated by linking atomistic simulations with discrete dislocation dynamics. The critical cutting stress is shown to be governed by the antiphase boundary energy, while line tension effects promote edge‐preferred cutting.
