Studies in isoxazole chemistry. IV. Isoxazoles via isoxazolines

Canadian Journal of Chemistry, 1970
4- or 5-Chloro- or cyanoisoxazoles, 5-chloromethylisoxazoles, and 5-methylisoxazoles were made by the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of nitrile oxides to α-halogeno- or α-alkoxyolefins. In the case of cis- and trans-1,2-dichloroethylene, (5a and b) the intermediate cis- and trans-4,5-dichloroisoxalines (6a and b) were isolated.

Isoxazole as a ligand

Inorganica Chimica Acta, 1975
Abstract A number of divalent 3d metal chloride and perchlorate complexes with isoxazole were obtained by interaction of salt and ligand in triethyl orthoformate-ethanol. Characterization of these complexes was based on spectral (ir--electronic), magnetic and conductance evidence.

4.03 - Isoxazoles

2022
Isoxazoles, isoxazolines and isoxazolidines are a class of heterocyclic compounds having a remarkable number of applications and are very versatile building blocks in organic synthesis. The developments concerning the synthesis of the above monocyclic systems reported in the literature from 2007 to 2019 are reviewed.

Transformation of 1,2,3,7a-tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-b]isoxazole derivatives into isoxazoles

Russian Chemical Bulletin, 2007
The reactions of 1,2,3,7a-tetrahydroimidazo[1,2-b]isoxazole derivatives with electrophilic reagents, such as protic acids, benzoyl chloride, BF3, and bromine, produce isoxazole, 2,2,3,3-tetramethylaziridine, and 2,3,3-trimethylpropen-2-ylamine derivatives.

Isoxazole Ionotropic Glutamate Neurotransmitters

Current Medicinal Chemistry, 2005
Analogs of the excitatory neurotransmitter glutamate are potential medicinal agents for a wide variety of neurological disorders. The isoxazole glutamate derivatives represent an important class of compounds because of their receptor specificity and binding affinity. Since the discovery of (S)-2-amino-3-(3-hydroxy-5-methyl-4-isoxazolyl) propionic acid (

Chromium (III) halide complexes with isoxazole and substituted isoxazoles as ligands

Spectrochimica Acta Part A: Molecular Spectroscopy, 1976
Abstract Complexes of chromium (III) with isoxazole, 3,5-dimethylisoxazole, 3-methyl, 5-phenylisoxazole and 3,5-diphenylisoxazole have been prepared and characterized by magnetic and spectroscopic techniques. lie stereochemistries of the complexes are discussed with emphasis on their i.r. spectra.

Recent Developments in Isoxazole Chemistry

1963
Publisher Summary This chapter reviews new investigations in the field of synthetic isoxazoles. Isoxazoles possess the properties of the aromatic system. The syntheses of isoxazole derivatives involving formation of the 1–5 and 2–3 bonds of the isoxazole ring, as well as formation of the 1–5 and 3–4 bonds of the ring are described in the chapter. The
