Human placental aminopeptidase isozymes

Experientia, 1974

Activation of carbonic anhydrase isozymes

2000
CA inhibition by sulphanilamide, discovered in England by Mann and Keilin (1940) and its activation by different classes of compounds, reported in Germany by Leiner (1940), although simultaneous, had completely different consequences for CA research.

Trehalase Isozymes in Amniotic Fluid

Asia-Oceania Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, 1986
AbstractA technique has been developed for the separation of trehalase isozymes by poly‐acrylamide slab gel electrophoresis in horizontal plates. Amniotic fluid was found to contain two isozymes at middle gestation and two or three isozymes at late gestation. Meconium at middle gestation and newborn urine contain only low‐mobility isozyme.

Isozymes of Alcohol Dehydrogenases

1980
Thirty amino acid substitutions are known in eight sets of isozymes or mutants of alcohol dehydrogenases. The replacements are at different positions in the subunits and affect many regions of the protein chains, which is consistent with the variability in properties of isozyme pairs.

Isozymes: Methods and Applications *

2017
This chapter discusses some major applications of isozyme analysis in basic and applied plant pathology. The technique is particularly useful with fungi; the greatest advances have been mostly with fungal pathogens. Isozyme banding patterns obtained from fungi are usually relatively uncomplicated and easy to interpret.

Arachidonate 12-Lipoxygenase Isozymes

1999
A lipoxygenase is an enzyme which incorporates one molecule of oxygen into arachidonic acid or other polyunsaturated fatty acids producing hydroperoxy acids with a conjugated diene system. Enzymes oxygenating at the positions 5, 8, 12 and 15 of arachidonic acid and producing the corresponding hydroperoxy eicosatetraenoic acid (HpETE) have been isolated

Lactate dehydrogenase isozymes in the genus Xenopus: Analyses of complex isozyme patterns

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1983
1. Previous work showed that seven out of 13 Xenopus species and subspecies possess a simple pattern of 5 LDH isozymes as it is common to most vertebrates. 2. The remaining six species with more complicated patterns are further analyzed in the present paper. 3. X. l. laevis, X. vestitus and X.
