Genetic diversity and population structure of pedunculate oaks (Quercus robur) in Wytham Woods
Genetic diversity underpins forest resilience and adaptation, yet centuries of human activity have reshaped woodland ecosystems worldwide. We studied the population genetics of pedunculate oaks (Quercus robur) in Wytham Woods, UK, across stands with different ages and management histories.

Minor Isozymes Tailor Yeast Metabolism to Carbon Availability
Isozymes are enzymes that differ in sequence but catalyze the same chemical reactions. Despite their apparent redundancy, isozymes are often retained over evolutionary time, suggesting that they contribute to fitness.

Evidence that mitochondrial isozymes are genetically less variable than cytoplasmic isozymes
SummaryIt has been proposed that isoenzymes functioning within cell organelles (chloroplasts, mitochondria) are genetically less variable than their cytoplasmic counterparts, as a result either of constraints imposed by the need to cross organelle membranes or from the different and specialized nature of organelle metabolism.

Abstract Ritonavir (RTV) is a potent CYP3A inhibitor that is widely used as a pharmacokinetic (PK) enhancer to increase exposure to select protease inhibitors. However, as a strong and complex perpetrator of CYP3A interactions, RTV can also enhance the exposure of other co‐administered CYP3A substrates, potentially causing toxicity.

Paternity Analysis of Tea (Camellia sinensis L. Kuntz) Hybrids Using Isozyme Marker
Tea plant has been categorized as self-incompatible crop. This is the reason behind the high genetic diversity. Natural pollination is possible to occur and the male parent is usually unknown, therefore, there is a need of method to identify male parent ...

Abstract The combination of cyclization reactions of thiadiazoles and benzothiazoles with Pd‐catalyzed cross‐coupling reactions provided a convenient synthesis of annulated, fluorinated and non‐fluorinated heterocycles, such as 1,3,4‐thiadiazolo[3,2‐a]pyrimidin‐5‐ones, benzothiazolo[3,2‐a]pyridimidin‐4‐ones, benzothiazolo[2,3‐b]quinazolin‐12‐ones and ...

Abstract Background Lycium barbarum polysaccharide (LBP) has long been recognized as having a wide range of beneficial properties for improving proliferation. However, the protective effects and specific mechanisms of d‐galactose‐induced testicular dysfunction in reproductively senescent rats are not fully understood.

Plantlet regeneration and somaclonal variation in Anthurium cv. Sultan through embryogenesis [PDF]
Calli of anthurium cv. Sultan were cultured on liquid or solid MMS (modified Murashige and Skoog) medium. The solid medium was supplemented with 1.0-4.0 mg/l 2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) incombination with 0.5 and 1.0 mg/l kinetin or 0.5, 0.75 ...
