ITER Global Stability Limits [PDF]

open access: yesFusion Technology, 1991
The MHD stability limits to the ITER operational space have been examined with the PEST ideal stability code. Constraints on ITER operation have been examined for the nominal operational scenarios and for possible design variants. Rather than rely on evaluation of a relatively small number of sample cases, the approach has been to construct an ...

Tree-level splitting amplitudes for a gluon into four collinear partons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We compute in conventional dimensional regularisation the tree-level splitting amplitudes for a gluon parent which splits into four collinear partons. This is part of the universal infrared behaviour of the QCD scattering amplitudes at next-to-next-to ...

Tree-level splitting amplitudes for a quark into four collinear partons

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
We compute in conventional dimensional regularisation the tree-level splitting amplitudes for a quark parent in the limit where four partons become collinear to each other. This is part of the universal infrared behaviour of the QCD scattering amplitudes

Limiting Behavior for an Iterated Viscosity [PDF]

open access: yesESAIM: Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Analysis, 2000
Summary: We analyze the behavior of an ordinary differential equation for the low wave number velocity mode. This equation was derived by an iterative process applied to the two-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations. It resembles the Navier-Stokes equations in form, except that the kinematic viscosity is replaced by an iterated viscosity which is a ...

Limit theorems for iterated random functions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Probability, 2004
We study geometric moment contracting properties of nonlinear time series that are expressed in terms of iterated random functions. Under a Dini-continuity condition, a central limit theorem for additive functionals of such systems is established. The empirical processes of sample paths are shown to converge to Gaussian processes in the Skorokhod space.

On martingale tail sums in affine two-color urn models with multiple drawings [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
In two recent works, Kuba and Mahmoud (arXiv:1503.090691 and arXiv:1509.09053) introduced the family of two-color affine balanced Polya urn schemes with multiple drawings. We show that, in large-index urns (urn index between $1/2$ and $1$) and triangular

Robust Inference after Random Projections via Hellinger Distance for Location-Scale Family

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
Big data and streaming data are encountered in a variety of contemporary applications in business and industry. In such cases, it is common to use random projections to reduce the dimension of the data yielding compressed data. These data however possess

Operator ideals in Tate objects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Tate's central extension originates from 1968 and has since found many applications to curves. In the 80s Beilinson found an n-dimensional generalization: cubically decomposed algebras, based on ideals of bounded and discrete operators in ind-pro limits ...
