Exploring Design Thinking for Innovation in Higher Education [PDF]
This paper reviews current research about the use of design thinking in inspiring innovation at higher education institutions. One such aspect of design thinking, a human-centered approach, has found a foothold in various industries, including the ...

Numerical Methods for the QCD Overlap Operator:III. Nested Iterations
The numerical and computational aspects of chiral fermions in lattice quantum chromodynamics are extremely demanding. In the overlap framework, the computation of the fermion propagator leads to a nested iteration where the matrix vector multiplications ...

Clinical Insights Into Hypercalcemia of Malignancy in Childhood
ABSTRACT Hypercalcemia of malignancy (HCM) is a rare but life‐threatening metabolic emergency in children that occurs in less than 1% of pediatric cancer cases, with a reported incidence ranging from 0.4% to 1.0% across different studies. While it is observed in 10%–20% of adult malignancies, pediatric HCM remains relatively uncommon.

Iterative fluid dynamics [PDF]
An iterative scheme is presented to solve analytically the relativistic fluid dynamics equations. The scheme is applied to longitudinal expansion, transversal symmetric and transversal asymmetric (triaxial) expansion as well. Within this scheme it is possible to describe the dynamics of a strongly coupled (i.e.

A Data-Driven Iteratively Regularized Landweber Iteration [PDF]
We derive and analyse a new variant of the iteratively regularized Landweber iteration, for solving linear and nonlinear ill-posed inverse problems. The method takes into account training data, which are used to estimate the interior of a black box, which is used to define the iteration process.

ABSTRACT Purpose Although not always achieved, complete chemotherapy‐induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) control is the conventional goal of CINV prophylaxis. In this two‐center, mixed‐methods study, we sought to understand the preferences of adolescent patients and family caregivers for CINV control endpoints.

A Metalanguage for Guarded Iteration
Notions of guardedness serve to delineate admissible recursive definitions in various settings in a compositional manner. In recent work, we have introduced an axiomatic notion of guardedness in symmetric monoidal categories, which serves as a unifying ...

Defining Roles in Pediatric Palliative Care: Perspectives From Oncology and Palliative Care Teams
ABSTRACT Background Early integration of pediatric palliative care (PPC) is associated with improved symptom management, quality of life, and healthcare utilization for children with cancer. Despite this, variation persists in how PPC is understood, operationalized, and integrated within pediatric oncology programs. In particular, ambiguity surrounding
