Ray Tracing Method in a General Non‐Dipole Magnetic Field

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract We present a new general mathematical formulation of the Eikonal equations for ray tracing, which can use any internal magnetic field model. The analytical and tractable expressions are conveniently based on a vector formalism, which is independent of any coordinate system.

Jovian Auroral Proton Precipitation

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract The total power of the Jovian aurora is about 1013–1014 W with ultraviolet emission observed in the Lyman and Werner bands of molecular hydrogen. X‐ray, radio, and infrared emissions have also been observed. The Jovian Auroral Distributions Experiment and the Jovian Energetic Particle Detector Instrument onboard the Juno spacecraft, orbiting ...

Highly Asymmetric Magnetosphere‐Ionosphere‐Thermosphere Coupling at Uranus

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract Magnetosphere‐Ionosphere‐Thermosphere (MIT) coupling is widely considered the dominant energy source responsible for maintaining the elevated thermospheric temperatures observed at the giant planets. At Uranus, the strongly tilted and asymmetric magnetic field produces a highly asymmetric magnetospheric configuration that may fundamentally ...

Reconstructing Europa's Atmosphere From H2+ ${\mathbf{H}}_{\mathbf{2}}^{+}$ Pickup Ions Detected During the Juno PJ45 Flyby

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Planets, Volume 131, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract We use a suite of single‐species (H2 ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}$) and multispecies (H2+O2+H+O ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}+{\mathrm{O}}_{2}+\mathrm{H}+\mathrm{O}$) Direct Simulation Monte Carlo models of Europa's atmosphere to interpret the H2+ ${\mathrm{H}}_{2}^{+}$ pickup ions detected by Juno at distances beyond 2 $2$ Europa radii RE $\left({R}_{E}\right ...

Translating Asian‐Dominant Pivotal Evidence Into EU Marketing Authorization: An EMA Regulatory Document Analysis, 2021–2025

open access: yesClinical and Translational Science, Volume 19, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT An increasing number of novel molecular entities and biosimilars reach the European Medicines Agency (EMA) supported by pivotal evidence derived predominantly from Asian patient populations. This creates regulatory challenges that the existing ICH E5 framework was not originally designed to address.
