Enhanced Linear Quadratic Regulator‐Based Strategy for Seamless Transition Between Microgrid Operation Modes

This paper presents an LQR‐based strategy for seamless transition between grid‐forming and grid‐following inverters in microgrids. The proposed design integrates the comprehensive control loops of the grid‐forming and grid‐following inverters. A systematic, gradient‐based optimization framework is used for selecting the weighting matrices.
