The prenatal caregiving expectations questionnaire‐revised version: Factor structure, internal consistency, and initial construct validity

open access: yesInfant Mental Health Journal: Infancy and Early Childhood, Volume 45, Issue 5, Page 541-556, September 2024.
Abstract An efficient, multidimensional instrument is needed to screen non‐optimal prenatal parental representations predictive of postnatal parenting behavior and child attachment. The present work aimed to revise and validate the Prenatal Caregiving Expectations Questionnaire—Revised (PCEQ‐R).

Una proposta di riforma per il sistema pensionistico italiano (A Proposal of Reform for the Italian Pension System)

open access: yesMoneta e Credito, 2012
In Italy, the ageing of the population is leading to an increase of the pension expenditures. Before Dini reform in 1995, the earning-related contributory system was financed on a pay-as-you-go basis.

The Magnetic Field from Cylindrical Arc Coils and Magnets: A Compendium with New Analytic Solutions for Radial Magnetization and Azimuthal Current

open access: yesAdvanced Physics Research, Volume 3, Issue 7, July 2024.
This study provides analytic solutions for the magnetic field of coils and magnets that have a non‐axisymmetric cylindrical geometry with a rectangular cross‐section. The equations can be readily applied to find the magnetostatic field in linear or non‐linear systems that contain a large set of elements.

Rigorous treatment of barycentric stellar motion: Perspective and light-time effects in astrometric and radial velocity data

open access: yes, 2014
High-precision astrometric and radial-velocity observations require accurate modelling of stellar motions in order to extrapolate measurements over long time intervals, and to detect deviations from uniform motion caused for example by unseen companions.

The use of high expansion foam for stunning and killing pigs and poultry

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 22, Issue 7, July 2024.
Abstract The EFSA Panel on Animal Health and Welfare (AHAW) was asked to deliver a scientific opinion on the use of high‐expansion foam for stunning and killing pigs and poultry. A dossier was provided by the applicant as the basis for an assessment of the extent to which the method is able to provide a level of animal welfare at least equivalent to ...

The Effect of Sociodemographic Factors on Female Educational Attainment: An Application of the Multipopulation Curie–Weiss Model

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, Volume 2024, Issue 1, 2024.
In recent times, there have been a lot of advocacies to encourage females of all ages to pursue education to the highest level. The Government of Ghana and its stakeholders have championed this to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 4 in this regard. However, progress has been on a snail’s pace. In this study, we employed the multipopulation Curie–

Unipotent elements forcing irreducibility in linear algebraic groups

open access: yes, 2017
Let $G$ be a simple algebraic group over an algebraically closed field $K$ of characteristic $p > 0$. We consider connected reductive subgroups $X$ of $G$ that contain a given distinguished unipotent element $u$ of $G$. A result of Testerman and Zalesski

Technical Progress and Early Retirement [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper claims that technical progress induces early retirement of older workers. Technical progress erodes technology specific human capital. Since older workers have shorter career horizons, there is less incentive for them or for their employers to

Magnetically Tunable Kondo - Aharonov-Bohm Effect in a Triangular Quantum Dot

open access: yes, 2006
The role of discrete orbital symmetry in mesoscopic physics is manifested in a system consisting of three identical quantum dots forming an equilateral triangle. Under a perpendicular magnetic field, this system demonstrates a unique combination of Kondo
