Efficacy and field safety of ilunocitinib for the control of atopic dermatitis in client‐owned dogs: A multicentre, double‐masked, randomised, placebo‐controlled clinical trial

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 5, Page 647-659, October 2025.
Background – Inhibition of the Janus kinase (JAK) pathway is a well‐established option for canine atopic dermatitis (cAD). Objective – To evaluate the efficacy and safety of ilunocitinib, a novel JAK inhibitor for the control of pruritus and skin lesions in client‐owned dogs with cAD.

Lattice gas description of pyrochlore and checkerboard antiferromagnets in a strong magnetic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Quantum Heisenberg antiferromagnets on pyrochlore and checkerboard lattices in a strong external magnetic field are mapped onto hard-core lattice gases with an extended exclusion region.

High tin or high lead: distinctive alloying practices of the pastoral Yuhuangmiao culture in Northeast China during the first millennium BCE

open access: yesArchaeometry, Volume 67, Issue 4, Page 1040-1056, August 2025.
Abstract The Jundushan cemetery, located on the northern boundary of the present‐day Beijing, sits at a crucial nexus between the Yan and Taihang mountains linking northern and central China. This strategic location provides an interesting case for examining interactions between pastoralism and agriculture around the early half of the first millennium ...

Evidence for gapped spin-wave excitations in the frustrated Gd2Sn2O7 pyrochlore antiferromagnet from low-temperature specific heat measurements

open access: yes, 2007
We have measured the low-temperature specific heat of the geometrically frustrated pyrochlore Heisenberg antiferromagnet Gd2Sn2O7 in zero magnetic field. The specific heat is found to drop exponentially below approximately 350 mK.

A novel approach for feline sporotrichosis pathogen detection based on loop‐mediated isothermal amplification

open access: yesVeterinary Dermatology, Volume 36, Issue 4, Page 474-484, August 2025.
Background – Sporotrichosis is a chronic, mycotic infection caused by fungi of the genus Sporothrix. Zoonotic sporotrichosis occurs mainly through S. brasiliensis transmission, resulting from the organism's traumatic introduction via scratches or bites, or contact with exudate from contaminated cats.

Sexing From Seawater: Application of Environmental DNA Beyond Species Detection for Cetaceans

open access: yesEnvironmental DNA, Volume 7, Issue 4, July–August 2025.
This study used environmental DNA (eDNA) flukeprint sampling and ZFX/ZFY gene amplification to determine the sex of killer whales and humpback whales, finding higher PCR success in killer whales but higher sex‐matching success in humpbacks. While eDNA shows promise as a noninvasive alternative to biopsies, further refinement is needed to optimize ...
