Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Effect of Strain Hardening on the Estimation of J-Integral in Compact Tension Specimens
Compact tension (CT) specimen testing is used to compute the fracture toughness parameter J-integral for different materials using load-displacement curve. In this work, J is investigated for compact tension specimen for a strain-hardening material using

A Study on J-Integral as a Fracture Criterion
The J-integral has been proposed as an engineering fracture criterion for elastic-plastic behavior in metals. The J-integral, as is defined, has several advantages over some other currently used fracture parameters. But the experimental evidence so far obtained to show its practical usefulness have been limited.Using an ordinary ship steel, the authors ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

A J-INTEGRAL MEASUREMENT METHOD BASED ON DIGITAL IMAGE CORRELATION
J-integral is an important fracture parameter which quantitatively describes the stress and strain fields near a crack tip. Accurate and efficient measurement of J-integral is of great significance for the evaluation of crack stability and propagation in

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

Solvability of Volterra integral equations of third kind by modified Bernstein operators
In this paper, we apply modified Bernstein operators B m ∗ ( f ) $B^{*}_{m}(f)$ to obtain the solution of Volterra integral equations of third type.

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...
