Engineering Highly Cellularized Living Materials via Mechanical Agitation
A mechanical agitation strategy is developed to engineer highly cellularized living materials, achieving cell densities of up to 1 billion cells per milliliter. By precisely tuning properties such as stiffness and toughness in blood clots, the approach is validated in both in vitro and in vivo studies.

This study investigates the role of triply periodic minimal structures in load bearing bone tissue engineering applications. Research uses a combination of mechanical testing, material characterization, and in vitro tests to study the impact of TPMS lattice structures (gyroid, lidinoid and split‐P).

Critical scaling near jamming transition for frictional granular particles
The critical rheology of sheared frictional granular materials near jamming transition is numer- ically investigated. It is confirmed that there exist a true critical density which characterizes the onset of the yield stress, and two fictitious critical ...

Gelatin methacryloyl (GelMA) granular hydrogel scaffolds (GHS) are fabricated using a generalized two‐step photocrosslinking approach to yield stable (non‐dissolving) microgels suitable for in situ covalent assembly under physiological conditions. A phase diagram is developed to define the interplay between individual microgel stability and scaffold ...

This study reveals how vorticity—a swirling flow pattern—enhances platelet aggregation and thrombus formation in high‐shear conditions. Using a custom microfluidic model, it is shows that vorticity promotes vWF–GPIbα interactions and calcium signaling, providing new insights into thrombosis mechanobiology and informing safer blood‐contacting medical ...
