Jamming of Semiflexible Polymers

open access: yesPhysical Review Letters, 2017
We study jamming in model freely rotating polymers as a function of chain length $N$ and bond angle $ _0$. The volume fraction at jamming, $ _J( _0)$, is minimal for rigid-rod-like chains ($ _0 = 0$), and increases monotonically with increasing $ _0 \leq /2$.

On the Anti-Jamming Performance of the NR-DCSK System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This paper investigates the anti-jamming performance of the NR-DCSK system. We consider several practical jamming environments including broad-band jamming (BBJ), partial-time jamming (PTJ), tone jamming (TJ) consisting of both single-tone and multi-tone, and sweep jamming (SWJ).

Spray Deposition for Solvent Annealing of Hybrid Poly(3,4‐Ethylenedioxythiophene) Polystyrene Sulfonate Cellulose Silver Nanowire Composite Electrodes Using a Roll‐to‐Roll Coater

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The fabrication and post‐treatment via solvent annealing of poly(3,4‐ethylenedioxythiophene) polystyrene sulfonate‐based electrodes using spray deposition in a roll‐to‐roll setup are presented. The decrease in sheet resistance and its correlation with nanostructure and molecular structure in the electrodes as a function of the processing parameters is ...

Shear jamming and shear melting in mechanically trained frictionless particles [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2020
We investigate criticality near the jamming transition in both quiescent systems and those under shear by considering the effect of mechanical training on the jamming transition and nonlinear rheology. We simulate frictionless soft particles undergoing athermal quasi-static shear using initial configurations trained with athermal quasi-static cyclic ...

Effects of Creep in Titanium at Room Temperature during Tensile and Profilometry‐Based Indentation Plastometry Testing

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article concerns room temperature tensile testing, with a range of (nominal) strain rates, of three titanium alloys. Stress–strain curves are analyzed to obtain creep characteristics. Profilometry‐based indentation plastometry testing is also covered, using different penetration velocities, and correlations established with tensile data.

Direct Ink Writing of Conductive Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review examines the use of direct ink writing (DIW) for fabricating conductive hydrogels with customizable 3D structures. It outlines the rheological requirements for successful DIW, followed by an exploration of the materials and ink formulations used to impart electronic and/or ionic conductivity to hydrogels while maintaining printability ...

A Barrage Noise Jamming Method Based on Double Jammers Against Three Channel SAR GMTI

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
Many jamming methods have been proposed against displaced phase center antenna (DPCA) process, which is a type of three-channel synthetic aperture radar (SAR) ground moving target indication.

Jam phases in two-dimensional cellular automata model of traffic flow [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
The jam phases in a two-dimensional cellular automata model of traffic flow are investigated by computer simulations. Two different types of the jam phases are found. The spatially diagonal long-range correlation obeys the power law at the low-density jam configurations. The diagonal correlation exponentially decays at the high-density jam.

The Role of Fluorine‐Functionalized Organic Spacers for Defect Passivation and Low‐Dimensional Phase Formation in 3D MAPI Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorine‐functionalized organic spacers (2F, 3F, 5F) are investigated to identify as optimal passivation agents for 3D MAPI perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The study highlights how altering fluorine positioning affects defect passivation, low‐dimensional phase (LDP) formation, and stability, emphasizing its role in molecular interactions and offering ...
