Quantitative dSTORM super‐resolution microscopy localizes Aurora kinase A/AURKA in the mitochondrial matrix

We here show that quantitative dSTORM reconstructions of mitochondrial Aurora kinase A/AURKA detect two pools of the protein, one in the mitochondrial matrix and one at the Outer Mitochondrial Membrane (OMM). We discover that a methanol‐based fixation is more suitable to detect the matrix pool of AURKA.

Desulfovibrio desulfuricans makes catalytically active palladium nanoparticles (bio‐Pd). The catalytic efficacy in hydrogenation of 2‐pentyne is enhanced by radiofrequency (RF) irradiation of the bio‐Pd once synthesised, or by pre‐injury of the bacteria via an RF field that predisposes them to make a better catalyst subsequently.
