Abstract Objective Inhalational burns frequently lead to dysphonia and airway stenosis. We hypothesize local dexamethasone delivery via a novel drug‐eluting electrospun polymer‐mesh endotracheal tube (ETT) reduces biomechanical and histologic changes in the vocal folds in inhalational burn. Methods Dexamethasone‐loaded polymer mesh was electrospun onto

Pyrophosphate as a novel anticoagulant for storage of whole blood: A proof‐of‐concept study
Abstract Background Citrate is the only anticoagulant currently Food and Drug Administration (FDA)‐approved for the long‐term storage of blood for transfusion.
