Multiple system atrophy with macrosquare‐wave jerks

Movement Disorders, 2004
AbstractMacrosquare‐wave jerks consist of high‐amplitude saccadic intrusions occurring mainly during fixation that are observed in several disease entities, e.g., multiple sclerosis or parkinsonian syndromes, but very rarely in patients with multiple system atrophy.

Jerk derivative feedforward control for motion systems

Proceedings of the 2004 American Control Conference, 2004
This work discusses reference trajectory relevant model based feedforward design. For motion systems which contain at least one rigid body mode and which are subject to reference trajectories with mostly low frequency energy, the proposed feedforward controller improves tracking performance significantly. The feedforward controller may be of much lower

Chaotic Jerk Circuit Usage in Communication Systems

2020 IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques in Wireless Communications (MTTW), 2020
This paper presents a study of chaotic jerk circuit capabilities for communication system applications. The chaotic synchronization is achieved for a specific Sprott chaotic jerk circuit using controlled error feedback. A chaos shift keying (CSK) communication system that uses chaotic synchronization, and a modification of the jerk circuit, necessary ...

On the Integrability of the Sprott Cubic Conservative Jerk System

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos
We consider the Sprott cubic conservative jerk differential equation [Formula: see text] with [Formula: see text]. It is known that this differential equation exhibits chaotic motion for some values of the parameter a. Here, we study when this differential equation has no chaotic motion, i.e.

Circuit realization of a fractional-order chaotic jerk system

2017 6th International Conference on Modern Circuits and Systems Technologies (MOCAST), 2017
In this paper, the analysis, design and circuit synthesis of a fractional-order form of a chaotic jerk system is presented. The proposed system is one of the simplest member of the jerk system's family, because it has the least number of terms, one of which is the unique nonlinear term of the system. For the first time, the hyperbolic sine term is used

A New Chaotic Jerk System with Double-Hump Nonlinearity

Journal of Circuits, Systems and Computers, 2020
In this paper, we report a new third-order chaotic jerk system with double-hump (bimodal) nonlinearity. The bimodal nonlinearity is of basic interest in biology, physics, etc. The proposed jerk system is able to exhibit chaotic response with proper choice of parameters.

Active Suspension Systems With Optimal Jerk Control

Volume 2: Automotive Systems, Bioengineering and Biomedical Technology, Fluids Engineering, Maintenance Engineering and Non-Destructive Evaluation, and Nanotechnology, 2006
An active suspension system should be designed/optimized in conjunction with the tradeoff between ride and handling. In recent years, jerk as a measure of ride quality is considered in performance index. In this paper, effects of jerk in active suspension system for a 1/4 car model is investigated.

Realization of Higher-Order Hyperchaotic Jerk System

2021
This research article suggests a novel method for realization of the higher-order chaotic jerk system. Proposed topology presents an idea for obtaining the nth-order chaotic system by using traditional cascading method. The generalized nth-order chaotic model is implemented with few passive components using integrator and summer amplifier with a sine ...

The Cusp Bifurcation of a Jerk System

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos
In this paper, using smooth invertible variable transformations and smooth invertible parameter changes, we construct a jerk normal form for the cusp bifurcation of a jerk system with two parameters which displays a nondegenerate fold bifurcation.
