A Nationwide Assessment of Anticholestatic Therapy Uptake in Patients With Primary Biliary Cholangitis: Opportunities for Optimisation
Alimentary Pharmacology &Therapeutics, EarlyView.Among a nationwide population with primary biliary cholangitis, almost all people were prescribed ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). However, UDCA was insufficiently dosed in a one third of them. The results indicate that first‐line treatment can be optimized, particularly in those with a biochemical response and higher body weight.Ellen Werner, Maria C. B. van Hooff, Gemma H. X. Bioethics, EarlyView.ABSTRACT
Controlled Human Infection Models (CHIMs) are a type of clinical trial involving deliberately exposing human volunteers to an infectious agent. Compared to studies of natural infection, CHIMs offers distinctive benefits, from the ability to study presymptomatic infection to a direct assessment of the efficacy of vaccines and therapeutics in a ...Alexa Nord‐Bronzyk, Barnaby Young, Jerry Menikoff, Julian Savulescu, G. British Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.Summary
Omics technologies have transformed research in haemoglobinopathies, yet the proteome of RBCs remains largely unexplored in transfusion‐dependent thalassaemia (TDT). In this proteomic analysis, Red blood cell (RBC) membranes from 48 adults with TDT were compared with healthy controls.Konstantina Theocharaki, Sophia Delicou, Aikaterini Ntzoura‐Kani, Nikolaos Simantiris, Marianna Politou, Veroniki Komninaka, Martina Samiotaki, Jerome Zoidakis, Marianna H. British Journal of Psychotherapy, EarlyView.Abstract
This article explores a psychodynamic, non‐directive approach to using Table‐Top Role‐Playing Games (TTRPGs) in group therapy. While TTRPGs have been increasingly integrated into therapeutic practices, published articles often focus on interventions designed around skill‐building or developing prosocial behaviours.Lydie Bonnet‐Brown, Jérôme Boutinaudwiley +1 more sourceEnhancing antitumour response to proteasome inhibitors with inhibitors of insulin‐degrading enzyme, a new molecular vulnerability in multiple myeloma
British Journal of Pharmacology, EarlyView.Inhibitors of insulin‐degrading enzyme boost PI cytotoxicity through an increased sensitivity of proteasome to PI inhibitors, induction of ISR, DNA damage and Myc down‐regulation. They overcome PI resistance in vitro and induce tumour regression in vivo.Laetitia Lesire, Rebecca Deprez‐Poulain, Damien Bosc, Florence Leroux, Valerie Landry, Sarah Ourabah, Morgane Tardy, Clara Maillard, Ronan Gealageas, Julie Dumont, Adrien Herledan, Sandrine Warenghem, Manon Cruette, Celine Lenglart, Alexandre Biela, Catherine Piveteau, Eva De Smedt, Catharina Muylaert, Wenguang Liang, Elvira Garcia De Paco, Elina Alaterre, Sara Ovejero, Nicolas Robert, Fabien Delahaye, Wei‐Jen Tang, Peter van Endert, Elke De Bruyne, Jérôme Moreaux, Benoit Deprez +28 morewiley +1 more source
