On construction of the canonical form on the frame bundle

open access: yesДифференциальная геометрия многообразий фигур, 2023
The detailed description of the construction of the canonical form on the higher order frame bundle over an n-dimensional smooth manifold is given. In particular, it is shown that some vector space isomorphism playing the key role in this construction ...

Propagation of a Short GRB Jet in the Ejecta: Jet Launching Delay Time, Jet Structure, and GW170817/GRB 170817A

open access: yes, 2019
We perform a series of relativistic magnetohydrodynamics simulations to investigate how a hot magnetic jet propagates within the dynamical ejecta of a binary neutron star merger, with the focus on how the jet structure depends on the delay time of jet ...

The Jet Shape at NLL$'$ [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
The jet shape is the fraction of the jet energy within a cone $r$ centered on the jet axis. We calculate the jet shape distribution at next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy plus next-to-leading order (NLL$'$), accounting for logarithms of both the jet ...

Cause of jet of vortex ring and its suppression in circular converging nozzle with entrance pipe

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2019
The control of circular jets has been studied extensively in the fluid dynamics literature. Most studies introduce an entrance pipe upstream of the nozzle outlet to straighten the flow.

Time after time – circadian clocks through the lens of oscillator theory

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Oscillator theory bridges physics and circadian biology. Damped oscillators require external drivers, while limit cycles emerge from delayed feedback and nonlinearities. Coupling enables tissue‐level coherence, and entrainment aligns internal clocks with environmental cues.

Scalar mixing near the turbulent/non-turbulent interface in the planar liquid jet with chemical reaction

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu, 2019
Chemical reaction near turbulent/non-turbulent (T/NT) interface in liquid phase turbulent flow was investigated experimentally. The concentrations of reactive species near the T/NT interface in a planar liquid jet with a second-order chemical reaction A ...

Conserved structural motifs in PAS, LOV, and CRY proteins regulate circadian rhythms and are therapeutic targets

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.
