Structural analysis of dynamic-controlled jet using DNS

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2014
In order to develop a new mixing procedure, we conduct DNS (direct numerical simulation) of dynamic controlled free jets. As the dynamic control, it is assumed that the inflow of jet rotates around the streamwise axis.

Active Control of an Axisymmetric Turbulent Jet Using Moving Delta Tabs

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2008
For the development of an active control of a turbulent jet, measurements of an axisymmetric turbulent jet were performed with multiple “moving delta tabs.” Five computercontrolled delta tabs, which can be driven independently, were installed

Effect of Lobe Count and Lobe Length of Corrugated Lobed Nozzle on Subsonic Flow Characteristics [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Applied Fluid Mechanics, 2022
The corrugated lobed nozzle is an emerging research topic in jet flow dynamics, and little investigation has been conducted on its effect on flow characteristics.

Formation of Single Bubbles from a Submerged Orifice Using Pulsed Ultrasound Waves

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2008
A new experimental method is presented in which single small gas bubbles are generated in a liquid from a submerged orifice using pulsed ultrasound waves.

Aeroheating of the Main Engine Jet of a Reusable Launch Vehicle

open access: yes气体物理, 2023
A body flap is usually arranged on the base of the plane-symmetry reusable launch vehicle with the longest moment arm for the need of pitch balancing control. Jet interaction from main engine with body flaps is an important problem that cannot be ignored

Dispelling the N3 myth for the kt jet-finder [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
At high-energy colliders, jets of hadrons are the observable counterparts of the perturbative concepts of quarks and gluons. Good procedures for identifying jets are central to experimental analyses and comparisons with theory.

Modeling of spreading of the melted corium jet inside the pool of emergency heat removal during severe accidents at NPP [PDF]

open access: yesЯдерна фізика та енергетика, 2012
Important nuclear power safety problem in touch with modeling of melted corium jet spreading inside the coolant pool is considered in the paper. It appears by development of the passive protection systems against se-vere accidents.

Study of Interaction between Unsteady Supersonic Jet and Shock Waves in Elliptical Cell

open access: yesJournal of Fluid Science and Technology, 2008
The unsteady behavior of a flow driven by a jet suddenly injected into cells is investigated numerically by solving the axisymmetric two-dimensional compressible Navier-Stokes equations.
