Minimizing Entrainment From Flashing Feeds: Analysis of Process Parameters and Orifice Design
This study investigates droplet entrainment from flashing feeds in a forced circulation flash evaporator. Experiments with water and three orifices show that about 20 K superheat marks a transition from mechanically to flashing‑dominated breakup, leading to higher entrainment.

Experimental Investigation of Burning Liquids in Reduced Oxygen
ABSTRACT The effects of oxygen concentration on combustion of gases have been investigated on fundamental levels in several studies. However, the same type of fundamental studies has not been made for liquid or solid fuels due to complex relationships between flame structure and changing mass loss rates (MLR).

Experimental Factors and Techniques for Pool Boiling Heat Transfer Enhancement: A Critical Review
ABSTRACT This review presents a comprehensive assessment of active strategies for enhancing pool boiling heat transfer, with a focus on techniques that do not rely solely on the boiling surface modification. It examines a broad range of methodologies including fluid additives, external fields, mechanical interventions, and thermal‐geometric tuning that

Plasma‐polymerized aminosilane films act as effective primers for bonding polyurea adhesives to aluminum. While pure APTES quadruples joint strength, co‐polymerization with silazanes or other monomers surprisingly degrades adhesion. This reveals a shift in the governing mechanism for adhesion: once a threshold of reactive surface amines is available ...
