Mechanisms of Degradation in Li‐Ion Batteries Under Low Temperature Exposures
Low‐temperature exposures, or freeze‐thaw cycles, are observed to significantly accelerate the degradation of Li‐ion batteries. A combination of electrolyte phase separation and mechanochemical stress leads to reversible and irreversible performance losses.

An Edible Chitosan‐Based Acoustic Sensor for Sound‐Responsive Actuation in Edible Robots
This study introduces an edible acoustic sensor for robotic food and edible robotics. Built from a chitosan piezoelectric film between gold electrodes, the sensor enables acoustic communication through ON/OFF keying. Integrated into an edible robot with pneumatically actuated arms and neck, it responds to high‐frequency tones.

A tubular electrowetting pump moves alternating droplets through a millimeter‐wide channel in discrete, reversible steps, functioning as a fluidic stepper motor. With no moving parts and electrodes insulated from the liquid, it delivers silent, accurate flow. Flexibility allows the pump to be woven directly into textiles for wearable, medical, and soft‐

A fully polymeric two‐dimensional array of Dielectric Elastomers enables self‐sensing, cooperative actuation, and large‐stroke operation in a DE‐based autonomous conveyor. Based only on voltage and current measurements at actuator level, the system detects the presence of a ball and subsequently drives it toward a target position.

Vectoring Control of Bilateral Parallel Offset Jet: Flow Characteristics and Control Mechanism
We proposed a bilateral parallel offset jet model that enables jet vectoring control without the need for an active high-pressure secondary flow. Flow characteristics, including deflection force, wall pressure distribution, and flow structures, were ...

Impinging Performance of High-Pressure Water Jets Emitting from Different Nozzle Orifice Shapes
The impinging pressure of a water jet is a key factor in engineering applications, and the jet shape has a great influence on this pressure. In this paper, five different nozzle shapes were designed, and impacting tests were conducted based on a self ...
