Assessing the Impact of DoS Attacks on the Performance of Asterisk-Based VoIP Platforms

open access: yesTelecom
In this work, a hypothesis is studied as to whether different DoS attacks affect the parameters of voice and video streams, as well as performance, on three different VoIP platforms.

Vocal Fold Scar Treatment via Controlled Dexamethasone Delivery With a Light‐Activatable Implant

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, EarlyView.
A light‐activatable dexamethasone implant was employed for the treatment of vocal fold (VF) scarring in a rabbit model. The implant enables controlled, repeatable drug release via near‐infrared laser irradiation, improving biomechanics, vibratory function, and histological architecture at the injury site.

INVESTIGATION OF SIGNALS DISTORTION DURING INTERPOLATION IN SDR TRANSMITTERS WITH QPSK MODULATION

open access: yesAdaptivni Sistemi Avtomatičnogo Upravlinnâ, 2019
: Software-defined radio (SDR) allows using software to set or modify working radio frequency parameters: communication standard, frequency range, modulation type, output power, etc. An interpolator is an integral part of the transmitter, which increases

Time-base noise reduction method of sampling osciloscope / Stroboskopinio osciloskopo laiko kanalo triukšmo mažinimo būdas

open access: yesMokslas: Lietuvos Ateitis, 2017
This paper proposes a method to increase precision of sampling oscilloscopes time-base then using a new hybrid time-base architecture. The traditional time-base of sampling oscilloscope has three kinds of time base error including time base drift, time ...

Jitter and Shimmer measurements for speaker diarization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Jitter and shimmer voice quality features have been successfully used to characterize speaker voice traits and detect voice pathologies. Jitter and shimmer measure variations in the fundamental frequency and amplitude of speaker's voice, respectively.

Optical beam jitter control

open access: yesSPIE Proceedings, 2004
For several future imaging and communications spacecraft, a challenging area of technology development is the fine acquisition, tracking, and pointing (ATP) control of the spacecraft and its payload. For example, some spacecraft with large aperture(s) in the range of 10~30 m diameter requires a few arc-seconds accuracy, 10~15 nano-radians jitter, and a

Micro‐Transfer Printed Continuous‐Wave and Mode‐Locked Laser Integration at 800 nm on a Silicon Nitride Platform

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
A heterogeneous III‐V/SiN platform for lasers at 800 nm is realized using the micro‐transfer printing method. Efficient GaAs gain sections are directly butt‐coupled to SiN waveguides, enabling continuous‐wave and mode‐locked extended‐cavity lasers. The mode‐locked lasers generate highly stable pulse trains with repetition rates up to 9.2 GHz and a ...
