On the inverse sum indeg index of some graph operations

open access: yesJournal of the Egyptian Mathematical Society, 2020
Topological indices are the molecular descriptors that describe the structures of chemical compounds. They are used in isomer discrimination, structure-property relationship, and structure-activity relations.

On Powers of Some Graph Operations [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics Interdisciplinary Research, 2018
Let G*H be the product * of G and H. In this paper we determine the rth power of the graph G*H in terms of Gr, Hrand Gr*Hr, when * is the join, Cartesian, symmetric difference, disjunctive, composition, skew and corona product. Then we solve the equation

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Interval-valued fuzzy graphs

open access: yes, 2012
We define the Cartesian product, composition, union and join on interval-valued fuzzy graphs and investigate some of their properties. We also introduce the notion of interval-valued fuzzy complete graphs and present some properties of self complementary

Inequalities for cd -Indices of Joins and Products of Polytopes [PDF]

open access: yesCombinatorica, 2003
The cd-index is a polynomial which encodes the flag f-vector of a convex polytope. For polytopes U and V, we determine explicit recurrences for computing the cd-index of the free join $$U\textcircled{v}V$$ and the cd-index of the Cartesian product U x V.

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.

Linear Systems over Join-Blank Algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
A central problem of linear algebra is solving linear systems. Regarding linear systems as equations over general semirings (V,otimes,oplus,0,1) instead of rings or fields makes traditional approaches impossible.

Interaction vesicles as emerging mediators of host‐pathogen molecular crosstalk and their implications for infection dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Interaction extracellular vesicles (iEVs) are hybrid vesicles formed through host‐pathogen communication. They facilitate immune evasion, transfer pathogens' molecules, increase host cell uptake, and enhance virulence. This Perspective article illustrates the multifunctional roles of iEVs and highlights their emerging relevance in infection dynamics ...

The Crossing Number of Join of the Generalized Petersen Graph P(3, 1) with Path and Cycle

open access: yesDiscussiones Mathematicae Graph Theory, 2018
There are only few results concerning the crossing numbers of join of some graphs. In this paper, the crossing numbers of join products for the generalized Petersen graph P(3, 1) with n isolated vertices as well as with the path Pn on n vertices and with

Protonophore activity of short‐chain fatty acids induces their intracellular accumulation and acidification

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The protonated form of butyrate, as well as other short‐chain fatty acids (SCFAs), is membrane permeable. In acidic extracellular environments, this can lead to intracellular accumulation of SCFAs and cytosolic acidification. This phenomenon will be particularly relevant in acidic environments such as the large intestine or tumor microenvironments ...
