Human Joining Peptide: A Proopiomelanocortin Product Secreted as a Homodimer [PDF]
The human (h) POMC gene sequence predicts a 30 amino acid joining peptide (JP) separating the N-terminal fragment [POMC(1-76) or hNT] and ACTH within their common precursor. We used an anti-serum directed against the amidated COOH-terminal end of mouse JP to develop a RIA for the predicted hJP molecule. Immunoreactive JP was detected in tissue extracts

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Algebraic Structure of Graph Operations in Terms of Degree Sequences
In this paper, by means of the degree sequences (DS) of graphs and some graph theoretical and combinatorial methods, we determine the algebraic structure of the set of simple connected graphs according to two graph operations, namely join and Corona ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Why is the snowflake schema a good data warehouse design? [PDF]
Database design for data warehouses is based on the notion of the snowflake schema and its important special case, the star schema. The snowflake schema represents a dimensional model which is composed of a central fact table and a set of constituent ...

Local edge antimagic chromatic number of join product of graphs
Let f : V(G) \to [1,|V(G)|] be a bijective mapping of the vertex set of a graph G to the integers 1 through |V(G)|. A labeling f is defined as a local edge antimagic labeling if, for any two adjacent edges uv and vx in E(G), their weights satisfy wf(uv) ≠

Product version of reciprocal degree distance of composite graphs
In this paper, we present the upper bounds for the product version of reciprocal degree distance of the tensor product, join and strong product of two graphs in terms of other graph invariants including the Harary index and Zagreb indices.

Combining osimertinib with the STING agonist ADU‐S100 activates innate and adaptive immunity to overcome the non‐inflamed microenvironment of Egfr‐mutant lung cancer. This combination increases NK and CD8+ T‐cell infiltration, associated with activation of the STING‐IRF3 pathway and local immunogenic cell death.

PGMJoins : random join sampling with graphical models
Modern databases face formidable challenges when called to join (several) massive tables. Joins (especially when entailing many-to-many joins) are very time- and resource-consuming, join results can be too big to keep in memory, and performing analytics ...
