An Efficient Clustering Protocol for Wireless Sensor Networks Based on Localized Game Theoretical Approach

open access: yesInternational Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, 2013
Game theory has emerged as a brand new approach to model and analyse several problems of wireless sensor networks, such as routing, data collection, and topology control. Recently, a novel clustering mechanism called clustered routing for selfish sensors

A Universal Biomimetic Approach for Making Artificial Antigen‐Presenting Cells for T Cell Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows a biomimetic silica microcapsule (SMC) fabrication method under mild conditions for making artificial antigen‐presenting cells (aAPCs). Inspired by marine biomineralization, peptide‐mediated biosilicification enables silica shell formation on emulsion templates. The resulting SMCs possess a core–shell structure, controlled fluorescence

Localized Fault Tolerant and Connectivity Restoration Algorithms in Mobile Wireless Ad Hoc Network

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
Due to the dynamic characteristics of mobile wireless ad hoc networks, a node may join or leave/fail at anytime, and links are usually intermittently unavailable. The destruction of the network connectivity would dramatically degrade the performance.

Codimension and pseudometric in co-Heyting algebras [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
In this paper we introduce a notion of dimension and codimension for every element of a distributive bounded lattice $L$. These notions prove to have a good behavior when $L$ is a co-Heyting algebra.

Pentagonal 2D Altermagnets: Material Screening and Altermagnetic Tunneling Junction Device Application

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
From a database of 170 pentagonal 2D materials, 4 candidates exhibiting altermagnetic ordering are screened. Furthermore, the spin‐splitting and unconventional boundary states in the pentagonal 2D altermagnetic monolayer MnS2 are investigated. A MnS2‐based altermagnetic tunneling junction is designed and, through ab initio quantum transport simulations,

Dimension groups of topological joinings and non-coalescence of Cantor minimal systems [PDF]

open access: yesPacific Journal of Mathematics, 2002
When we have two extensions of a Cantor minimal system which are both one-to-one on at least one orbit, we can construct new Cantor minimal systems called topological joinings. We compute the dimension group of the joining in a special case. As an application, we show that a non-invertible endomorphism can induce the identity map on the dimension group

Reconfigurable Three‐Dimensional Superconducting Nanoarchitectures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
3D superconducting nanostructures offer new possibilities for emergent physical phenomena. However, fabricating complex geometries remains challenging. Here 3D nanoprinting of complex 3D superconducting nanoarchitectures is established. As well as propagating superconducting vortices in 3D, anisotropic superconducting properties with geometric ...

A topological transformation in evolutionary tree search methods based on maximum likelihood combining p-ECR and neighbor joining [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2008
Abstract Background Inference of evolutionary trees using the maximum likelihood principle is NP-hard. Therefore, all practical methods rely on heuristics. The topological transformations often used in heuristics are Nearest Neighbor Interchange (NNI), Subtree Prune and Regraft (SPR) and Tree Bisection and ...

Dynamics of Randomly Constructed Computational Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
We studied Petri nets with five places constructed in a pseudo-random way: their underlying net is composed of join and fork. We report initial results linking the dynamical properties of these systems to the topology of their underlying net.
