Long‐Range Interactions in Topological Superconducting Systems: A Mini Review
Long‐range interacting quantum systems are surveyed in this review, with an emphasis on the long‐range topological superconductor and its variants. Long‐range interactions decaying in a power‐law manner can lead to exotic phenomena that finds no analogue in short‐range regimes.

Assessment of biological potency of commercially available vancomycin products in Jordan using USP cylinder–plate assay [PDF]
Background: Recent reports raising concerns regarding the clinical performance of vancomycin products in Jordan prompted a regulatory review focused on biological potency.

An Alexandroff topology is defined on the set \(\mathbb Z^{2}\) of integer lattice points of the Euclidean plane \(\mathbb R^{2}\). This topology has the advantage over the usual Khalimsky topology on \(\mathbb Z^{2}\) in that any cycle of a certain square-diagonal graph of type 4 is a digital Jordan curve in the comparability graph induced by the ...

Abstract Belonostomus longirostrisis was named for an isolated jaw fragment from freshwater Upper Cretaceous (Campanian) sediments of the Dinosaur Park Formation of Alberta, Canada. Following the description of the Albertan species, numerous isolated cranial and postcranial elements have been collected from the Dinosaur Park Formation and assigned to B.

Development and validation of a Jordan-specific risk score for type 2 diabetes mellitus
Background Jordan has a high prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), but it is estimated that nearly half of all cases in the Middle East and North Africa region remain undiagnosed.

The internal crest anatomy of Lambeosaurini (Hadrosauridae: Lambeosaurinae)
Abstract The supracranial crests of lambeosaurine hadrosaurids have long been a focus of study due primarily to their extreme morphology. The external anatomy of lambeosaurine crests is understood to be highly variable between species, but variation in their internal anatomy is less well understood.

Surfaces of Constant Mean Curvature in Euclidean 3-space Orthogonal to a Plane along its Boundary
We consider compact surfaces with constant nonzero mean curvature whose boundary is a convex planar Jordan curve. We prove that if such a surface is orthogonal to the plane of the boundary, then it is a hemisphere.

Abstract An exquisitely preserved, isolated partial petrosal with associated fragmentary stapes is described from the Vastan Lignite Mine (Gujarat, India), dated to the early Eocene (~54.5 Ma). Several anatomical traits (e.g., large petrosal plate; posterolateral entry of the internal carotid artery to the tympanic cavity; bony tubes surrounding the ...

A nonstandard proof of the Jordan curve theorem [PDF]
In this paper a proof of the Jordan curve theorem will be presented. Some familiarity with the basic notions of nonstandard analysis is assumed. The rest of the paper is selfcontained except for some standard theorems about polygons. The theorem will be proved in what ought to be a natural way: by approximation by polygons.

Objective Low copy number (CN) of complement C4 isoforms and high CN of retroviral HERV‐K elements are known risk factors for many immune‐mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), often showing sex‐biased effects. Here, we assessed whether CN variation within the C4 gene contributes to giant cell arteritis (GCA) and IgA vasculitis (IgAV), two complex ...
