Four‐Dimensional pp‐Wave Lie Groups and Harmonic Curvature

open access: yesMathematische Nachrichten, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We determine all four‐dimensional Lie groups which have harmonic curvature. In parallel, a description of four‐dimensional pp‐wave Lie groups is obtained.

Analytical Solution for the Problem of Point Location in Arbitrary Planar Domains

open access: yesAlgorithms
This paper presents a general analytical solution for the problem of locating points in planar regions with an arbitrary geometry at the boundary. The proposed methodology overcomes the traditional solutions used for polygonal regions.

Investigating Tuberculosis Dynamics Under Various Control Strategies: A Comprehensive Analysis Using Real Statistical Data

open access: yesMathematical Methods in the Applied Sciences, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT In the present investigation, a mathematical model with vaccination, treatment, and environmental impact under real data is presented. Initially, we present the model without any interventions, followed by an examination of its equilibrium points.

Green's theorem and Jordan rectifiable curve [PDF]

open access: yes, 1963
Thesis (M.A.)--Boston UniversityA comprehensive study of proof of Green's theorem is presented. A classical approach to the proof of the theorem has been compared with a more generalized form of the proof.

A NONSTANDARD PROOF OF THE JORDAN CURVE THEOREM [PDF]

open access: yesReal Analysis Exchange, 1998
We give a nonstandard variant of Jordan’s proof of the Jordan curve theorem which is free of the defects his contemporaries criticized and avoids the epsilontic burden of the classical proof. The proof is self-contained, except for the Jordan theorem for polygons taken for granted.

Long‐run confidence: Estimating uncertainty when using long‐run multipliers

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Political Science, EarlyView.
Abstract Researchers are often interested in the long‐run relationship (LRR) between variables where the dependent variable has dynamic properties. Though determining the long‐run multiplier (LRM) for an independent variable is straightforward, correctly estimating the significance of the LRM is often difficult, especially when time series are short ...

Delayed Admission to the Intensive Care Unit Is Associated With Increased Mortality Risk in Critically Ill Patients: A Prospective Cohort Study

open access: yesJournal of Advanced Nursing, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Aim To examine the impact of delays in intensive care unit (ICU) admission on patient outcomes, specifically clinical deterioration and mortality among patients transferred from the emergency department (ED) or general wards following acute deterioration in an Australian public hospital.

The Natural Components of a Regular Linear System

open access: yesOxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The analysis of a finite‐dimensional regular linear system may be simplified by separating the system into its natural components. The natural components are smaller linear systems on separate subspaces whose dimensions sum to the dimension of the original linear system.

Jordan Curves: Ramsey Approach and Topology

open access: yesMathematics
We develop a topological-combinatorial framework applying classical Ramsey theory to systems of arcs connecting points on Jordan curves and their higher-dimensional analogues.

Proofs and Generalizations of the Jordan Curve Theorem

open access: yes, 2020
: The Jordan curve theorem states that any homeomorphic copy of a circle into R2 divides the plane into two distinct regions. This paper reconstructs one proof of the Jordan curve theorem before turning its attention toward generalizations of the theorem
