Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

A Knowledge-Based Smart Trainer System for Transferring Knowledge From Coaches to Long Jump Students
Background: The constructive and specific feedback in guiding long jump athletes to improve their performance in each phase is part of the critical process for achieving desired long jump distance. However, to date, the potential approach for assisting a

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Study of the relation between hydraulic jump and the flood water level in the river on the downstream of a spillway [PDF]
Kuningan Dam which is located in Kuningan District, West Java has 21,8 km2 watershed area. This dam also acts as a flood control facility which functions supported by the reservoir’s topography and its spillway building.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Information processing for observed jump processes
An equation is derived for the posterior statistics of a Markov process that modulates the transition rates of an observed jump process. This equation forms the basis of a nonlinear filtering theory for observed jump processes that is the counterpart of the Stratonovich\3-Kushner filtering theory for nonlinear observations in additive white Gaussian ...
