Elliptic systems at resonance for jumping non-linearities

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2016
In this article, we study the existence of nontrivial solutions for the problem $$\displaylines{ -\Delta u=\alpha _1u^{+}-\beta _1u^{-}+f(x,u,v)+h_1( x) \quad \text{in }\Omega, \cr -\Delta v=\alpha _2v^{+}-\beta _2v^{-}+g(x,u,v)+h_2( x) \quad \text ...

Nonlinear semimartingales and Markov processes with jumps

open access: yesJournal of Evolution Equations
Abstract In this paper, we study a family of nonlinear (conditional) expectations that can be understood as a semimartingale with uncertain local characteristics, which are prescribed by a time and path-dependent set-valued function. We show that the associated control problem coincides with both its weak and relaxed counterparts. Furthermore,

A Family of Sodium Solid‐State Electrolytes Based on the NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 Solid Solution

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Sodium‐based metal chloride solid electrolytes are promising for sodium solid‐state batteries due to their excellent oxidation stability, which, as shown for Li halides, can coexist with high ionic conductivity. To explore cationic substitution effects, we synthesized NaGaxAl1‐xCl4 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1) via ball milling and investigated structural and ...

Solution to a semilinear problem on type II regions determined by the Fucik spectrum

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2003
We prove the existence of solutions to the semi-linear problem $$displaylines{ u''(x)+alpha u^+(x)+ta u^-(x)=f(x),,quad xin (0,pi),,cr u(0)=u(pi)=0 } $$ where the point $(alpha, eta)$ falls in regions of type (II) between curves of the Fucik spectrum.

Existence results for critical growth Kohn-Laplace equations with jumping nonlinearities

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica
This article is concerned with the existence of nontrivial solutions to critical growth Kohn-Laplace equations with jumping nonlinearities. Or, more specifically, we consider the following Kohn-Laplace problem: −ΔHu=bu+−au−+∣u∣Q∗−2u,inΩ,u=0,on∂Ω,\left ...

Flexible Pressure Sensor With Co‐Optimized Sensitivity and Linearity Based on Gradient Toroidal Microstructures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A flexible piezoresistive pressure sensor with gradient toroidal CNT/PDMS microstructures is reported. The hierarchical geometry enables sequential electrode contact, achieving a sensitivity of 256.20 kPa−1 and linear response (R2 = 0.99) over 0–1000 kPa.

Potential Landesman-Lazer type conditions and the Fucik spectrum

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2005
We prove the existence of solutions to the nonlinear problem $$displaylines{ u''(x)+lambda_+ u^+(x)-lambda_- u^-(x)+g(x,u(x))=f(x),,quad xin (0,pi),,cr u(0)=u(pi)=0 } $$ where the point $[lambda_+,lambda_-]$ is a point of the Fucik spectrum and the ...

Jump resonance criteria of nonlinear control systems

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1965
It is known that jump resonance can occur in a non-linear control system if the vector locus of the linear part passes through a certain region which depends upon the nonlinear part only. This paper is concerned with further investigations of the boundary curves of such regions. It is revealed that by normalizing the non-linear characteristic and using

Nonlocomotory Robotic Strategies for Dynamic Rotation Control in Terrestrial Robots: A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
Terrestrial robots increasingly require rapid body rotation to maintain stability and agility in complex environments. This review shows nonlocomotory rotational control strategies that operate without ground contact, including reaction wheels, tails, bars, limbs, and thrusters.
