Promiscuous stimulation of HSP70 ATPase activity by parasite‐derived J‐domains

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
The malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum exports three highly homologous yet functionally divergent J‐domain proteins into human erythrocytes. Here, we show that J‐domains isolated from all three proteins effectively stimulate the ATPase activity of both endogenous host and exported parasite HSP70 chaperones.

A Drosophila Mutant with a Temperature-Sensitive Block in Nerve Conduction [PDF]

open access: yes, 1978
A mutant, napts (no action potential, temperature-sensitive), is described in which axonal conduction fails at high temperature. Synaptic transmission at the larval neuromuscular junction is unimpaired.

Erythropoietin modulates hepatic inflammation, glucose homeostasis, and soluble epoxide hydrolase and epoxides in high‐fat diet‐induced obese mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Erythropoietin administration suppresses hepatic soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) expression, leading to increased CYP‐derived epoxides. This is associated with a shift in hepatic macrophage polarization characterized by reduced M1 markers and increased M2 markers, along with reduced hepatic inflammation, suppressed hepatic lipogenesis, and attenuated ...

An Improved Method of Loss Calculation for Two-level IGBT Converters

open access: yesKongzhi Yu Xinxi Jishu, 2013
Temperature is a sensitive factor to the conducting and switching characteristics of power device, so the effects of junction temperature and cooling condition must be taken into consideration when calculating power losses. Precious calculation of losses

Identification of functional murine mitochondrial formyl peptides and their effects on myeloid‐derived suppressor cell generation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We first identified functional murine mitochondrial N‐formyl peptides (MT‐FPs) and investigated their effects on the in vitro myeloid‐derived suppressor cell (MDSC) generation from bone marrow cells. We demonstrated that MT‐FPs acted directly on bone marrow cells to promote MDSC generation and modulated the polymorphonuclear (PMN)‐MDSC/monocyte (M ...

Research on Switching Characteristics of 3 300 V Full SiC MOSFET Power Module

open access: yes机车电传动, 2020
Depending on the advantages of SiC MOSFET with faster switching and lower on-state losses, the switching characteristics of a 3 300 V full SiC MOSFET device were studied to make better use of the device. Firstly, the switching processes of the SiC device

Single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assays for high‐throughput DNA–protein interaction studies

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We describe an optimised single‐molecule DNA flow‐stretch assay that visualises DNA–protein interactions in real time. Linear DNA fragments are tethered to a surface and stretched by buffer flow for fluorescence imaging. Using λ and φX174 DNA, this protocol enhances reproducibility and accessibility, providing a versatile approach for studying diverse ...

Development of human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 by yeast display

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Human monoclonal antibodies against TARM1 are generated by yeast display‐guided selection. These antibodies bind to soluble and cell‐surface forms of TARM1. Also, these antibodies exhibit agonistic activity in the NFAT‐GFP reporter assay, indicating that TARM1 signaling can be functionally modulated by antibodies and suggesting TARM1 as a potential ...

A Novel Unipolar Pulse-Width Modulation Scheme for Single-Phase H-Bridge Inverters With Balanced Switch Loss Distribution

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper introduces a novel unipolar pulse-width modulation (PWM) strategy for single-phase 4-switch H-bridge inverters, designed to enhance power efficiency, thermal balance, and device reliability without necessitating hardware modifications.
