Analysis of a Model for Generating Weakly Scale-free Networks [PDF]
It is commonly believed that real networks are scale-free and fraction of nodes $P(k)$ with degree $k$ satisfies the power law $P(k) \propto k^{-\gamma} \text{ for } k > k_{min} > 0$.

. Most radiation schemes in weather and climate models use the “correlated k distribution” (CKD) method to treat gas absorption, which approximates a broadband spectral integration by N pseudo-monochromatic calculations.

Quantitative assessment of media concentration using the Homodyned K distribution.
The Homodyned K distribution has been used successfully as a tool in the ultrasound characterization of sparse media, where the scatterer clustering parameter α accurately discriminates between media with different numbers of scatterers per resolution ...

Angular analysis of the low K+K− invariant mass enhancement in B+→K+K−π+ decays
We study the decay B+→K+K−π+ and investigate the angular distribution of K+K− pairs with invariant mass below 1.1 GeV/c2. This region exhibits both a strong enhancement in signal and very large direct CP violation.

Distributed top-k monitoring [PDF]
The querying and analysis of data streams has been a topic of much recent interest, motivated by applications from the fields of networking, web usage analysis, sensor instrumentation, telecommunications, and others. Many of these applications involve monitoring answers to continuous queries over data streams produced at physically distributed ...

Sampling Distribution for the K-Th Order Statistics from the Generalized Gumbel Distribution [PDF]
This article is concerned with the sampling distribution of the k-th order statistics of the generalized Gumbel distribution with one shape parameter 2 suggested by Adeyemi (2002). Focusing on the moments for the k-th order statistics numerical solutions

Our aim was to find chlorine-substituted antidotes against organophosphate poisoning and compare their pharmacokinetics to their parent compound, K-203. White male Wistar rats were intramuscularly injected with K-203, K-867 or K-870.

On the value distribution of $ff^{(k)}$ [PDF]
If \(g\) is a transcendental entire function of finite order, then there exists at most one integer \(k\geq 2\), such that \(ff^{(k)}\) has a nonzero and finite Picard exceptional value. If \(f\) is a transcendental meromorphic function, we have that 1) for nonnegative integers \(n,n_1, \dots, n_k\) with \(n\geq 1\), \(d=n_1+ \cdots +n_k\geq 1\), if \(\

Optimal location of logistics distribution centres with swarm intelligent clustering algorithms.
A clustering algorithm is a solution for grouping a set of objects and for distribution centre location problems. But the common K-means clustering algorithm may give local optimal solutions. Swarm intelligent algorithms simulate the social behaviours of
